I just read an interview he did and he says he’s wrestling for maybe 5 more years and that’s it. Do you believe him? Not that he’s a liar, but he’s still young and I’ve heard wrestlers say more than once “when I hit 40 I’m done”. Jericho said that and look at him now. Do you really see Cody done within 5 years?

I buy it, but he also said he wanted to be done at 35...lol
I think Cody will be the official "front office person" for backstage segments once he hangs up the boots. I could see him coming back for specialty matches every now and then, though.

if he keeps wrestling as hard as he's doing these past few years (and weeks) in all different styles, then yeah, he's got a short few years left.

Similar to the above all depends how long his body lets him keep going for - at the rate he's going in 5 years time he might be in some trouble, I can't see him retiring altogether I think he'll still do a semi-retirement having a feud and match every few months or special appearances etc etc, I don't buy it if he's still in 5 years time in the same shape he is now he'll stop "just because I'm 40" kind of thing. Will all depend on wear and tear.

I'll believe it when I see it. Go read old copies of the Observer and you'll see "X wrestler it thinking about hanging it up in the next 2 years" about every 2-3 weeks. It's 20-30 years later and half those guys are still working. I can see Cody being just like his dad, where he's taking on more of a backstage role, but can't step out of the ring entirely.

Think Cody has a lot more left in the tank at what 35 right now,Could easily see him wrestle for another decade or more.If AEW keeps a similar schedule the one day per week makes things a hell of a lot easier on the body, plus you also don't have to wrestle ever week or be on every show.If they stick to this model and just run some house shows here and their from time to time think that AEW will add years onto many wrestlers bodies/careers.A lot different then being on the road just about 34/7 365 like back in the old days or a WWE workload of working 3 to 4 days per week.

You're behind the times, the narrative has changed. Now HHH is the saviour. It's all Vince's fault. HHH has had his past absolved by the powers of the black and yellow. Edit: although Stephanie has not been forgiven, much like Brandi lol
