Mattel nowadays is super lazy. Are we overreacting bcoz it is just a 20dollar item ? I believe it is very lazy. What are your thoughts? Some times small detail is very necessary for a character like Kane's studds on the belt, Bray Wyatt sweater, unique body type of some superstars.

Bray's sweater is bad, looks like body paint. I want those puppets but I haven't pre ordered because of the painted on shirt. While we are at it, the women's top mold bothers me, where they paint around the straps to try and make it work. Also the basic women's hands, one fist, one waving/slapping hand. They all look uniform like mannequins.

For me it’s annoying. They make new one off molds for figures that no one gives two shits about, hardly make new sculpts for those that need it but most baffling is that they won’t use already existing parts to make new figs look better than their old counterparts.
Take just one example, Is it that difficult to put laceless boots on Kane and taker figures? Really? There is no good reason for this to keep happening at all. It’s nonsensical and really frustrating as a massive Kane & Taker fan.

Yes. If you make one remark that isn't positive and wholly supportive of Mattel, you have to turn in your WFigs collecting card to the nearest Crybaby Police agent. They don't have insignia, but you can identify one fairly easily.

It's very entitled of you to make this thread and "call them out". There's a number of possible reasons and things that should come to mind before calling REAL LIFE PEOPLE lazy. Check yourself, my guy. There's a better way to say what you're trying to say.
This place is so friggin toxic over something like action figures. If people are upset with small details like that, they should spend time learning to customize instead of pounding their keyboards.

I don't think u can call it laziness. That's not fair to Bill or the team. These guys are literally working on 100s of figures at a time. Mistakes and mishaps are bound to happen. Things like laces on Kane' s boots should 100 percent have been corrected by now but it's not a big deal to me.

Funny i sent my buddy a msg earlier about how stupid kanes straps and buckles are painted on and everytime that bray pops up i roll my eyes. With mattels poor distribution and impossible to find exclusives and the high cost even if you can find anything at retail im seriously after becoming sour on all of it

I’m hoping it’s just because they’re protos, but Kane’s missing belt and ESPECIALLY Bray’s painted on sweater are something I’d expect from Jakks, not Mattel. The Bray is especially jarring; really hoping it is fixed, AFA said it would be molded but he also said the proto was close to finished.

If people are upset with small details like that, they should spend time learning to customize instead of pounding their keyboards. Everyone should just learn this anyways. It's so much freaking fun. I always wanted to as a kid, there was a website on good old geocities where a guy made all the attitude era guys hasbro style, but ebay was just getting going and I was 10 so I had no way to get the parts. So glad I finally took the dive last year and learned how to start customizing. The more economic answer to the question, is it's actually quite simple. If you buy it, it reinforces that it's an acceptable quality level. If you don't buy it, you're voting that it's not something you like. Over time, if enough people are unhappy with the quality and not buying figures because of it, the quality has to go up. If people are ok with the quality and keep buying them, the quality will remain static or likely decrease. At a certain point the price becomes relatively fixed, production measures become relatively locked in, and the only way to increase a profit margin is to cut costs. Particularly if the price point isn't increasing in line with the rate of inflation, it becomes even more evident. Complaining by itself won't actually change the quality at all, the only way it really changes is by consumer votes through purchases.

Overreacting to things should be this board’s motto.

Are you trying to get banned? It’s one thing to be critical but suggesting people are being lazy at their job is insulting. Talk like this why Bill left these boards. Let’s not force Steve away too.

Overreacting to things should be this board’s motto. Not sure if anyone on here ever checked out Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix, but it had a line that this totally reminded me of and I can't stop laughing now. "It's been 10'000 years and we only care about ourselves!" (Lady berating old rich white men about the Redskins name) "Hey, how'd you know the Goldman-Sach's cheer?" (Rich old white guy)

These guys definitely arent lazy. Almost every issue that a figure has can be traced to budget constraints.

Customizing is great and it gives you a sense of accomplishment to take something great and make it the perfect figure for you. But it's easier to complain.

Wrong skintone on Rocky Johnson on top of missing tattoos, missing studs on Kane and the goatee on another, Bret Hart with a horrible tights color and missing Hitman lettering,oh and Bray Wyatt in a flesh sweater. Bad part choices are the most avoidable and frustrating aspect possibly, Jake Roberts sigh.
It's obvious that the $20 and below lines are being rocked by budget cuts, and have been for awhile. The level of detail and accuracy as been slowly diminishing for years.
So happy to have Jazwares available at the same price point.

No disrespect to anyone dear, they are doing great job I believe. Bill is a great guy and Steve here is also helping us in answering our questions I think Bill sometimes have no idea what is going on in production. He even clarified that sometimes there are factory mistakes.

It's simple. When they do a bad job or something looks bad, we should be able to comment on it. We should be able to comment on the flaws or if it a figure is underwhelming. Call it what you want, but just because Mattel people post here doesn't mean they are above reproach.
