Seen a Euro distributor by the name of Blackfire list names and product/UPC codes for upcoming Goldberg, Kane, Stephanie McMahon, and Ultimate Warrior figures for this line. Once upon a time, Kane's name was attached to Bray's spot in Wave 4. I'm sorry, did you say STEPHANIE is getting one??? You know me, I'm a McMahonic through and through but BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHA Of course you know I will have to pick that up. For absurdity sake. I would love to know why they would possibly make Steph part of this line before, say, Charlotte. Charlotte's look is tailor made for this ish. Or, baring the Queen, the Empress. Asuka would be awesome in this series. But Steph? I really don't see it. She's a pretty good fighter and all (especially for someone who never wrestles) but just about every other woman on the roster short of maybe Dana Brooke, Lana, and Carmella should be in this line before her. I would guess that she's being made because she is the wife of Triple H, who is the Skeletor of this universe, and Skeletor needs his Evil-Lyn by his side. Plus Stephanie is a definite heel, and there aren't a ton of legit heel females popular enough to be worth making. Charlotte is a heel mostly, but I wonder if they have another plan for her. Otherwise, yeah, I agree with you. Stephanie doesn't really make sense, generally speaking. To me it just has to be to give Skull King Triple H his evil sorceress. Plus maybe Mattel is thinking she's a bit more classic or old school, like the Ricky Steamboat and Roddy Piper we're getting. They seem to be trending that way with each new wave. |

I forgot about the Triple H Skeletor figure. I haven't been keeping close track. They look nice and all, but I'm only interested in the women. Although, now that I think about it, that might well work. Although, it'd tickle me pink if they gave her a cloth goods cape to go SWISH SWISH. I'd absolutely go nuts if they styled her like the Movie character. I don't really see Stephanie as being very much about the purple, but the black and silver? That's pretty much all of her ring attire. |

You know, looking deeper into this line, I just... *Sigh* Ok, so see, this is where a figure line based on vintage figures comes back to bite you. If we're strictly going by the vintage 80s figures, then we will be getting very few women's figures at ALL. Like, maybe four. Becky is already Teela Steph is Evil Lyn That leaves Sorceress and She-Ra I believe. And, as much as I'd love to see Charlotte as Sorceress (She'd work perfect), I have a feeling she's going to be the Princess. Although, technically. isn't being made as the Princess of Power a DEMOTION from "The Queen"? Who am I kidding, they'll probably name her "The Queen of Power" or something. So that leaves Sorceress which, by all rights, should be Asuka. As much as I love Bayley and Sasha, we really don't need three out of the four to be horsewomen, and Asuka's arm wavy dance does look a bit like she's waving wings. So that's my call for the last two women. Anything after that and they'll have to get creative. I believe. By the time the 90s rolled around I was fully into TMNT. I did have a MOTU phase as a tyke, but it was very early on and I don't remember much. By the time I reached the recommended minimum age for action figures, I had already switched to turtles. Although, I was addicted to the movie. We had a VHS taped copy off TV and I screamed if my parents tried to keep me from watching it. Between my VHS tape of Star Wars and my VHS tape of MOTU (The Movie) I was set as a kid. And no, we don't have that VHS tape of the OG, "Han Shot First" star wars anymore. I'm pretty sure the VCR ate it somewhere around second grade and we never replaced it. But it's fine, because I own the Special Edition DVD now! (Plus a DVD of the MOTU movie. Ah, memories) Oh, and yes. We absolutely need Vince as Hordak. 100%. Need that figure. |

I think all of those women figures you mentioned would be cool, but honestly, how well are they going to sell at Walmart? That's the real question. As I finish up my Christmas shopping all over the place, I seriously think Mr. T could outsell Rollins 7 to 1 if given the chance. I'm not joking. Getting the right wrestlers from the appropriate era seems to be one of the most important things. |

I would prefer Sensational Sherri as evil Lynn. I felt like she looked like her in the early days and I used an evil Lynn as sensational sherri for my hasbro figures.

They've kind of doubled up on characters already, as Ultimate Warrior and Cena both sorta have the He-Man description. So I think we can get more females in the line that way. Becky is Teela it looks like, but we had Battle Ground Teela in MOTU Classics, so that's an option. Plus there's Princess of Power and all those female characters as options/inspiration. And boz mentioned Mr. T, and he's not necessarily based on one character (by the way, I agree he'd outsell Rollins and a few others given the chance). He has King Randor's armor, but he has the armored hands of Fisto and Jitsu. No character was like that originally. That's why I think MOTU is just the starting point and why Sasha and Bayley and Asuka can all be worked in. It's largely about the look and inspiration (like the Snakemen for Austin and Jake or Savage, Piper and Hogan having He-Man's battle armor). |

I want to do an LOD custom with all the peg warming Seth Rollins but the Mattel heads are too small. Is it Jakks heads or bust? coincidentally, my jakks legion of doom and mattel motu origins figures are displayed on the same shelf and without actually taking the heads off, i would say the jakks heads would work on the motu bodies. i actually kinda want to try that now haha |
