Anyone know why in WWF Jericho had to take out the Lion Tamer knee and start doing the Walls? Did the WWF think the LT looked too violent?
Also, how do you think an Owen/Hogan match would have been?

I’ve always wondered about the lion tamer/walls difference too. I could be wrong but I think I heard him say that it was because in WWF the wrestlers were typically bigger than the ones he was facing in WCW. He could get more leverage over the cruiserweights. I never liked the Walls because it was pretty much just a Boston crab. The lion tamer really looked like it would hurt you.
As for Owen/Hogan, it just doesn’t seem like it’d be a good match. Their styles were way to different. Owen could probably have a better match against Horace Hogan lol.

My guess is that were a lot of guys in WWF that had neck issues so was he forced to change it to the Boston crab to keep it consistent whenever he was matched up against them.

Jericho has gone on record as saying the WWF guys were too big and he didn’t have enough height to pull it off. They would have to bend too awkwardly and probably hurt themselves In WCW he wrestled a lot of cruiser weights that he was taller than. He has done it in WWF though on smaller/ nimble guys Attachment Deleted

I remember in 2008 that Jericho put Paul London in the old school style with the knee in the upper back instead of doing just a normal Boston Crab. Again, London was a smaller guy, a cruiser weight if you will. So it must have a lot to do with Jericho wrestling bigger guys in the WWE.
As for Owen vs. Hogan?? Simple. Owen would bump for Hogan, then big boot, leg drop, 1 2 3.

Owen would nail Hogan with an Enziguri, but Hogan would get right back up, start shaking his head, wagging his finger and well, you know what comes next.

Personally I think Owen Vs Hogan wouldn’t have been good pairing.

Yeah, Jericho mentioned in one of his books that the reason he changed his finisher in the WWF was that he has smaller than most of the guys he was wrestling against.

If we're taking Hogan and Owen at their peaks, I think Owen would have bumped his tail off for Hogan. I wouldn't be shocked if they had a **** match.

Jericho question is covered well...as for Hogan vs Owen I think if you looked at Hogan vs Hennig it would be something similar. Smaller heel gets the upper hand on hogan by nefarious means after bumping like a pinball for him...Hogan recovers... the end.
