From what I saw in 6 PPV'S matches that weren't Survivor Series matches they went 1-4-1 (draw)
Any reaosn why?
I always enjoyed them as a tag team and seeing them job to The Buschwakers was brutal
I know they had originally won the tag titles once, but the WWF reversed it and it was never announced
I think they could have won the tag titles from Heart Foundation say summer of 87 than lose to Strike Force
They were great heels, much hated but they never got top level success and I dont understand why

they were like the killer bees of the late 80s - good workers but nothing sensational about them at a time when everyone else looked and acted like they were jumping out of a comic book.
i may be a little biased as I'm a dynamite kid fan, I must admit. lol

I would've been all for a title run especially when they were heels even if it was brief. With an awesome theme like this they deserved one!

I remember I posted something on here about two years ago about this episode of WWF Superstars I was watching where Ray Rougeau was the announcer and he had to interview Jacques and Pierre. Jacques said stuff like, "it's great to finally have a partner who can watch my back and help me win" and such, just complete jabs at Ray.
Then I found out years later that Jacques and Raymond were not even close anymore. They had a falling of the ways. I don't know when it happened, but it could have been as far back as late 1993 for the things Jacques was saying in the interview with Ray right there.

Yeah the Rougeus were Vinces Tag Team heel jobbers...they were replaced in that role by The Orient Express...who were replaced by the Beverly Brothers.

Because the main tag teams needed a tag team to beat. The Rougeaus didn't need to win. They got a lot of heat and people popped when the lost. That's what they were there for.

In the era that they were there as heels there was no way they were gonna beat Demolition for the Tag Titles. Arn & Tully and Andre & Haku got that honor. I could not picture Ray or Jacques pinning Ax or Smash to win the titles in 1989.

I don’t think they ever beat the Bushwackers which is a shame. I guess Luke and Butch didn’t want to do the job for some reason?

I don't think Jacques had much success on PPVs either. As the Mountie, he would only win vs. Koko B. Ware and Tito Santana (RR91 and WM7), he would lose to the Big Boss Man at SSL91, lose the Survivor Series match in 1991, lose to Roddy Piper at RR92, lose in the 8-man tag match at WM8, and lose to the Bushwhackers and Hacksaw at SSL92. As a quebecer, I believe they only beat the Hart's at RR94 and that was by the refs decision. Jacques was eliminated from the Survivor Series match in 1993 and they lost to Men on a Mission at WM10. If i'm not mistaking, they were in the tag team battle royal at WM14, and they didn't win that either. Not a good PPV record for Jacques Rougeau.

He would've no doubt lost to the Bulldog as well at SSeries 92 for the IC belt if that match went on as originally planned.

HBK was always pencilled in to be the next IC champ after Bulldog. Davey's antics at Summerlsam 92 just pushed that timeline up to the first opportunity Vince could get it off him...SNME.

All these years later I would love to know whose music the 8 man tag guys came out to at Wrestlemania. They got the jobbers entrances sadly. All the guys had their own music but I'm guessing with the entrance being so long they would come out to one persons which I'm thinking would be Duggan's and Nasty Boys.
