At the end of the day, these are flimsy excuses. Jazwares said August 3. AEW said August 3. They said it on AEW Dynamite. If Jazwares said that, why did they say that? Why were they not in communication with Walmart to make sure this would happen? Sega of America made this happen and created Sonic Tuesday and that was almost 30 years ago. It's 20 now. There's no excuse anymore.I'll take "Global Pandemics" for 1,000, Alex. It is what it is at this point. Clearly these have started to hit, and will probably be in most stores by Wednesday. Whether I buy them on Monday or Wednesday doesn't really make any difference to me. Then don't promise and hype up a specific drop date like Star Wars products or a video game release.

Right now, it doesn't seem that niche. Also, AEW Dynamite is routinely a Top 5-Top 6 cable show every Wednesday night. Collecting wrestling action figures is definitely a niche hobby. The Walking Dead was the biggest show on cable TV for years and the figures could really only be found at Walgreens for a majority of it's run. A wrestling TV show that cant even get a million viewers a week with is definitely a niche product. Comparing a wrestling show to a AAA game release is absurd. Everything he says is pretty much absurd. Nothing shocking here.

They made that August 3rd date so people like you wouldn’t bitch about them missing their original goal of July. But by all means keep cluttering this thread with your ramblings crying about toys not being there on a specific day. I wish my life was perfect enough that this was my most pressing issue.

Too many people crying about the Pandemic or making asinine statements like “I wish all I had to worry about was toys”. You are on a message board devoted to toys, specifically wrestling toys, so for the majority of us, it’s pretty high on the list. I have only one problem, and that was Jazzwares making a concrete date. Their handling of the release has tainted their image. You can make any excuse you want, they set a date, advertised it, promoted it and sold it. And then utterly failed in spectacular fashion. I’m still gonna but it, but my perception of Jazzwares is that they can’t deliver what they say, and that they will throw things out arbitrarily to their benefit.

This was definitely an opportunity for Jazwares to put on their big boy pants and show they are a major player. They fell flat on their faces in this instance.

Most recently with Masters of the Universe Origins. What I try to do is check Brickseek and if it says they have them in stock, I will call and ask first.

Has anyone checked brickseek and it says they have the figures in stock and then they go to the stores and don’t? Just asking before i make a big trip to look tomorrow. It depends on what you mean. I had 3 stores in the Dallas area show they had some in stock. I went to the first, and they weren't on the shelves (couldn't find an associate that wasn't already helping someone to ask). Another user on the board went to the same location later in the day and was able to get an associate to bring out a case. The second location had none on the shelves, and the associate working the area essentially told me if they show they have them in stock, they're probably in the back. I was told to check back later in the week. At the final location I arrived as they were stocking the toy section, and I found 3 from the series. The others had sold. Altogether, you might end up going and coming up empty handed. If the show in stock, they have some there somewhere - you might just need to ask an employee to check the stockroom.

I don't see how anyone could possibly blame Jazwares, AEW, Cody, or Jeremy for them not being out today. WalMart is the one to blame if you want to start blaming people. AEW and those guys would not have said the 3rd unless they were sure the product could make it to shelves then.
WalMart has ALWAYS had crappy distribution. I don't know why anyone would expect any different now. The fact of the matter is WM doesn't care about toys as much as other products, especially during a pandemic. I've seen some posts on forums complaining that the workers at WalMart had no idea what these people were talking about when asked about the AEW figures. It's a very niche product that I'm honestly shocked is being carried in WalMart at all in the first place. Please don't be that guy that harasses some college kid just trying to make some money at work. They have nothing to do with the figures not being on the shelves.

I'll never understand the people, who come to this site, and read, thread after thread until a topic like this comes up, and the "cool" kids of the school start talking siht about "people crying over toys" and start poppin off, calling people names and trying to degrade people. It's classic Internet Bully tactics. DO YOU NOT REALIZE YOU ARE INTO THE HOBBY, regardless if you have any figures. You are one of us! SMH
And there's a few of you in this thread. I see you.

Funny you call people brats when Jeremy at Jawares basically said fans are right to be upset and that he takes responsibility for the date blunder. I’m also pretty sure anyone who works their butt off for a paycheck and want to spend their disposable income on these figures is anything but an entitled brat (especially in today’s economical environment). But I guess it’s easier to call people names than actually think about the issue Jawares created today.

This thread is getting better and better lmao.
Thread will prob be locked by thursday at the rate it’s going cause both sides can’t act grown. Sucks cause I won’t be entertained at work on Friday (I’ll have Series 1 in my hand by then anyway waiting for when I’m off lmao)
Some of y’all need to learn to use the block function as well as also not coming into threads you know will have a massive amount of complaining about xyz issue.
High stress levels ain’t the wave word to Max B
Edit: Maybe the mods were right when the WWE Legends Series 7 preorder thread got locked early a while back: Maybe the board as a whole isn’t mature enough to handle these launch hype threads, especially when hiccups in the preorder process happen. Just my opinion
