LOL, I can't wait to hear what Jim Cornette says about "Raw Underground". I don't think there will be enough "mud shows" and "F" bombs in the world.

I think underground would have come off better if it wasn’t filmed in the usual over produced WWE way of doing stuff. If they did it gritty and made it look like all of those terrible mma movies from years ago, it would look so much better. Remove the camera cuts and just have 2-4 cameras around the warehouse and maybe one mobile one to go around the ring. I still think it’s a pointless idea that helps no one involved at all but the presentation could make it much more watchable.
I think if they built “the underground” up as more of a gimmick match for more personal feuds could be a way better use. Say for instance Aleister Black returns after having his eye injured and challenges Rollins or Murphy to fight him in “the underground”. Could be just as lame in execution but I feel like I would like that way more.

RAW/WWE continues its downward spiral into complete sports entertainment.
Vince needs to step down. His vision is not going to give him 5 ratings ever again. Just stick to wrasslin', make your money, and enjoy the rest of your life. If people want to watch reality/drama/action ... they'll watch TV.
Thank goodness NXT isn't harmed by him ... yet.

I could stand to watch the Underground concept progress. That other thing though, it needs to rapidly be re-imagined or dropped ASAHP. The lowest depths that the dropped New Day/Forgotten Sons or last year's Kofi/Vince storylines could have reached couldn't have been as bad and tasteless as last night.

It's not like I fully support the idea. Have the same feelings as that tweet, presenting talent having different levels of success in two different settings is disjointed and confusing. Whether its purpose is to be its own thing, to rebrand certain guys, to introduce new characters, etc., there isn't a whole lotta room to keep it grounded. Also, the less I see of Shane the better lol. But between the two premises introduced last night, much rather have Underground remain as is. Didn't think much of the Wyatt's Funhouse on its debut either.

I for one don’t give a About? I don’t care if you make it known what I’m watching is fake. I already know.

I don’t care if you make it known what I’m watching is fake. I already know. For me, it’s undermining the rest of your show if the 3rd hour is led off with “THESE fights are real”. I feel the same way about comedy wrestling. The majority of comedic wrestling acts belittle the product. I’m not asking you to not give a give a f*ck, enjoy what you enjoy my guy. I can totally see why you feel the way you do.

I'm surprised how much the underground segments have offended some fans. I didn't watch raw last night but heard the rumours of a brawl for all before i went to work but when i woke up and saw this thread had 30+ pages i expected the worst.
I was expecting a tournament like in 98, real fighting. What i got instead was a few mins of staged fighting in a bloodsport style pit/ring, you have to wait and see where this leads storyline wise, a debut wrestler, Lesnar vs Lashley, who knows?.
In the covid era, i think WWE should do stuff like this, it is a good chance to try new things, i didn't really enjoy it but it really wasn't that bad and i will give it a few more weeks to see if there is a plan for this.
What i was offended by this week, was the insane amounts of recaps, ads and promo's (yes some were really good, Drew and Orton was excellent) this show lacked wrestling and if i was watching this live it would have been tedious to watch the recaps.

I don’t care if you make it known what I’m watching is fake. I already know. I'm kind of in the same boat. Maybe in a different way from you, maybe the same? I enjoy all types of wrestling for what they are in general. Lucha Libre style is a good example. It doesn't look particularly 'realistic' from an actual fighting perspective, but when done well it comes across as an athletic ballet of sorts. It's like watching a play. Personally I find it really easy to just switch gears. If something is presented as being super sports like and "shoot" like, I can get into that gear. If it comes across as super comedic and deadpool like 4th wall poking fun at itself, I can switch into that frame of mind, etc, etc. Doesn't really take me out of it even if its in the same show, I've never really found it tough to switch gears like that. Its never really taken away from the more sports oriented presentations to have stuff that 'exposes' it even immediately before or after. I dunno, that's just me. I get why it can be something not everyone can get on board with, but it's never really bothered me.

Sasha and Shayna are the ones having a match. Asuka attacks Bayley and the ref calls for a dq. Asuka and Bayley aren't the ones in a match, I would like for someone to explain how that makes senses. Typical WWE changing the rules as they see fit. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you didn't read the part of the thread where basically everyone here asked the exact same thing.

First time watching Raw since May 2019 because I wanted to see the Underground stuff and I loved it. I'll be watching next week.

Apparently top WWE sources have found out that the new "faction" that was teased last night are known as Retribution. How they discovered this but not their goals, overall purpose, or members I don't know. Maybe the group scrawled it across the facade of the PC in spray paint... wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/wwe-reveals-name-of-new-faction/Any chance some April releases are a part of this scrappy association?

I'm all for poking fun at tang, but we have rules, and I can't allow posts with swearing on them.
