Years ago Big Lots had a great selection of $3 DVD's. Now most DVD's are $5. I remember getting so many of the $3 movies there

Now I truly have no reason to check for figures there. My Big Lots only got like second-hand figures that obviously weren't selling well in other retailers, but for $10 I would pick them up. $20 for stuff that didn't sell for $20 at Target or Walmart just seems like death to the toy department.
Remember when they had those ESR's for like $10 or $15? What a run that was.

Big Lots has been positioning themselves to slowly make a move from closeout store to just another retailer for a while now so this isn't really a shock.
I remember the days of buying super cheap DVDs and off brand chips and soda. Those days were fun.
But hey, if they start getting newer stuff in, would you guys still be complaining? Cross your fingers for that.

Never knew they ever carried WWE. It would take a really impressive or rare figure for me to pay $15 for a Basic. And that bad boy better be MOC.

When Kohl's sold basics they were $15 They would often be discounted at the register and then i would use their $10 gift cards I got in the mail to buy them. I've gotten an eve Torres for 60 cents, an Evan Bourne for 42 cents and a Beth Phoenix figure for free that way.

They want 13 bucks at my Big Lots for the Mania basic figures. They had last years Mania figures for 15 bucks each a few months ago but they aren't there anymore.

They never had much of a selection but it was nice to get a really cheap basic figure for a couple bucks or less.

Ya Kohl's is a really overpriced store for the most part and I used to use those cards on Nike and Adidas shirts as well but then they did away with that and its very limited what you could use them on. I ended up spending the last few ones I got on pillows for my bed lol

Big Lots has Elite figures for $20? That's a surprise because my old Big Lots never had WWE figures but last year Big Lots moved into my mall where Toys "R" Us used to be and hopefully they have this WWE Elite figure sale. I might have to ask Dad to check out Big Lots when he has to stop at the mall sometime Doctorwhofan

$20 Elites & $12 Basics are considered expensive?

$20 Elites & $12 Basics are considered expensive? Thatβs retail price, for elites anyway. The point of this though is that Big Lots is like a discount retailer, and when they got leftover stock from older sets they were $10 for elites for the longest time. Then went to $14 I think. Not that thereβs anything wrong with paying $20 for a figure that may have been missed when it came out, but it was rather convenient to find things for cheap every now and then.

The last elite set I saw at my Big Lots (I have two in town) was 47B, always basics ever since. They are kind of out of the way for me, so good to know that I shall continue to not bother haha

$20 Elites & $12 Basics are considered expensive? Not at all. I think it's just a basis of expectation...they used to carry them at pretty significantly marked down prices, so to see them jump in price is a shock to the system when one considers what the figure, in theory, could have been had for.
