I decided to make this a poll for laughs, but this is a serious topic.
AEW's women's division does have some solid talent, but no star power and nobody who's transcendent. There isn't a generational type of talent. Think Charlotte Flair. Elite athlete, oozes presence, and walks the talk. WWE has an embarrassment of riches in regards to women's talent.
AEW has talented Joshi wrestler, Britt Baker, Nylo Rose, and Big Swole. Kris Statlander is on the shelf for awhile. I'm a fan of all of these ladies, but most of them are green and add no name value.
My issue is that the mens division is LOADED with superstars. Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley, Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, and I could go on. They've done a brilliant job making guys like Darby Allin and Hangman Page big stars, and they're always adding name value in Brian Cage and Brodie Lee type signings.
Why haven't they been that aggressive in pursuing top tier female talent? Spend some money there please! It's frustrating. Tessa is arguably the best female wrestler in the world, this is the fastest shortcut to a great division that you can buy. You get to trot out one of the most talented performers in her division and enhance your entire division instantly. But will they do it? With her dad in place, doesn't it seem like they have more than an opportunity to make it happen?
Thoughts and opinions are wanted 😎

I typically don't listen/read rumors about conduct, as everyone errors, and most of us are fortunate enough to commit our errors behind closed doors.
That said, avoiding the rumors of her reputation are difficult, and while she would no-doubt be an asset, and likely their best in-ring female wrestler, it seems like a risk.

This is definitely a topic we've talked about a bit, and one where I don't know that there was a clear cut opinion, so it should lead to some interesting discussion in a seperate thread devoted to it. Ultimately I think one hurdle that I've mentioned in the past, is that if what I've read is true (which is no guarantee, but very plausible) is that currently Tessa has no desire to leave Mexico until after her wedding, and she is confident she can get back in. (Given that she's not a permanent resident and needs to actually marry Daga to be able to cross easier.
Ultimately, it's a situation where she would have to take some steps before coming aboard. Given that Excalibur is currently off tv because of a promo from literally 15 years ago (I've read that he asked to be left off, not Khan making him), I think the current mob mentalities suggest that she has to kind of make some stronger statements first.
Personally I'm all for 2nd and 3rd chances, so I'm on board with giving her a chance. I think it would require maybe her addressing the women's locker room a bit privately, but as long as they felt comfortable, go hard. I would definitely start on a short term deal though, as a test run. If it's not working, cut bait. If it works, extend it and push her to the moon.

i want tessa to get signed by aew probably more than most people, but she needs to leave the attitude at the door. not only that, but also understand that aew isn't doing intergender stuff (at least at the moment) so they're not going to build the company around her like impact started to do... maybe the women's division though. wwe seems it could be likely, but i'm sure aew could give her a similar/better deal if they're really interested in her. she has a history with the boys since she won the 4 corner survival at all in, plus tully is there, so that's already a few key things that could make an aew deal that much sweeter. i know wwe has made women's wrestling one of their bigger focal points the last few years, but i feel aew would give her a bigger spotlight to showcase what she's made of. she could still have banger matches without being limited to a certain moveset, and wouldn't be strapped with a gimmick like wwe probably would do. i know people like to crap on aew's women's division but to me, it's really not that bad once travel restrictions are over with. the more aew grows over time, the more big-named women i see coming as well. so even if it's not perfect at the moment, there's plenty of room to grow. tessa would be one of the biggest gets for them if they could pull it off though.

I would love to see in AEW. I prefer her much more than Britt Baker, i can't stand her. Everything feels forced with her.

No. She needs to go where the best female talent is - and that is NXT/WWE. Plus, Charlotte vs Tessa needs to happen sometime down the road. Apart from maybe Shida, there's no decent women in AEW for her to wrestle, anyway.

I'm happy with very little women's wrestling to be honest.
When's the last we have even seen Sabian, Archer, those Janela at the bar vignettes, etc on Dynamite. AEW is starting this we have a larger locker room for 1 show and now we have nothing for ya.

Not sure how this is even a debate. AEW's biggest weak point is their women's division and Tessa is arguably the best female pro wrestler in the world right now. And she worked a hell of a match at All In.
I think she'd be totally fine in WWE but they'd absolutely put reins on her. Nothing there I'm particularly dying to see other than Rhea vs Tessa.

I think everyone agrees she would instantly bolster the roster, but a lot of fans seem to worry about her attitude. Given that I've never met her, and have no valid opinion, it's probably worth a try. She'd be the best in-ring talent in the women's division, instantly. Her chasing Britt Baker for the title could be the first big feud in their women's division.

Apart from maybe Shida, there's no decent women in AEW for her to wrestle, anyway. I've been a longtime advocate for Tessa in AEW. But at this point, I think I agree with you. It's tough to be a big deal if you're not able to beat anybody who is a big deal. I think that's a part of why we saw Deonna go to Impact right now instead of AEW. In WWE, even with a moderate push there's an insanely deep roster for her to get a rub from. Not saying the booking would be good, or even marginally competent. But she'd be in the ring with legit star power. That just doesn't exist in AEW. Shida is good, Britt has grown by leaps and bounds as a heel. But they're just not at that level, and I don't see them ever getting there. On the flip side, Tessa is easily the featured part of the division in AEW vs who knows what in WWE. Her dad is there, she has relationships going back to All In, and Brian Cage is one of her best friends. If AEW added Jordynne, Tessa, and some other talent down the road, you have a killer division. But the talent they've signed and the money they have spent on female talent makes me think that it's either not a priority, or they're going with a Moneyball approach that just isn't working.

2-3 years down the road I think this division is absolutely on par with NXT or better. They've got some talent that is a couple years away from being incredible, some talent stuck overseas that is already really good, and I think they absolutely have some future stars. Shida is already a star, and better than the overwhelming majority of the NXT/WWE roster. Britt grew into a monster heel and has elevated herself to star status/potential. Nyla is a powerhouse. Give Sadie Gibbs another 2-3 years and she could be the top star in the company. She's got that much potential. Then you've still got Bea Priestly who's planning on doing AEW full time in a couple years once she's done what she wants to do in Stardom. Love her or hate her as a person she's accomplished a lot. Deonna already said she wants to come here eventually, she just wanted to find herself in Impact first. (She said as much in an interview very recently). Then you've still got Shanna, Swole, Statlander, (Holy S's batman), Allie, Abadon, Anna Jay, Penelope. Riho is crazy young still (22,23? Something like that). Yuka is a huge crowd pleaser. Like this division is really quite well stocked, it's just the victim of some bad timing right now, and it needs time to grow.
That isn't even factoring in people they're trying out like Ivelisse, Diamante, Conti, Ellering, etc.
Are their great women on the indie scene that could come in and make immediate impacts? Absolutely. I'd love to see them sign 20-30 more women and put the division size wise on par with the men. So many on the indie circuit I think could contribute. Unfortunately the majority of the public won't go for that. There is this crazy dumb narrative of "get some stars" "No not the japanese ones, american stars" "No they can't come from WWE either, we want new stars" "Ok here's some new great talent" "Well we haven't heard of those girls". All the facepalms. (No one on here has said that, but I've seen almost that exact train of thought more times than I can count now.
Bottom line the women get judged by a different standard than the men, and not in a good way. It happens in almost every sport. Tennis is one of the only ones where you can actually watch the women as often as the men, but even then the pay discrepancy is still there. Our women's hockey teams are among the best in the world, but there isn't even a hockey league for them to play in on tv. It took a pandemic and sports shutting down to see any measure of WNBA coverage since they beat some other sports back.
I dunno, I rant about this a lot, but it always drives me nuts lol.
Translation to the topic itself: If I'm AEW, I'm willing to try Tessa out, but I'm not bending over backwards for her, or promising her the world. She'd be a huge asset in the short term, but long term I think their prospects are totally fine with or without her.

Too much is made about locker room culture. This isn’t a team sport, these are individuals trying out perform one another for a select few top spots. Some of the greatest eras in wrestling, all the guys were at each other’s throats and such. Somewhere along the way, we lost the competitive edge and now we all get along and everyone is the same.

I can type out a longer explanation but the short version is basically research indicates that ^ is not entirely accurate. There's been a ton of sport science research and workplace related research done in that field, and a staggering amount of evidence to say that those cutthroat environments are not the best for performance at all. That's not to say the exact opposite is either, but the cutthroat cultures are not a great approach from a performance based perspective. Steve Magness and Brad stulberg have a great book on this subject called peak performance.
Edit: I'm not saying a complete buddy buddy environment with no accountability or competition is the best either. I wrote it above but it could get lost in the mix. Just that the old cutthroat stab each other in the back, everybody walk on eggshells approach is not superior from a performance perspective in the long run.
