I know this is a pretty obvious thread but what is your opinion of him so far? I think he lacks something and is a bit boring. Hopefully WWE find someone else soon. No one else really comes to my mind on NXT or mid card so looks like we are stuck with him. No wonder Edge and Orton are back. WWE struggle to create real stars now. The last successful ones where the Shield and I think there best days are behind them.

I think he's been fan-*******-tastic. I think he's been doing a great job considering there are no fans in attendance. Best WWE champion in years.

I think Drew's been doing pretty awesome. He is finally at the level he should have been at from the start of his main roster run.

I’m a fan. I like his look and how he wrestles. I also really respect how he worked his way up to get where he is now.

Yeah I've gotta say he seems to be killing it!
He doesn't/hasn't had much of a cast of characters to bounce off of which I think has hurt him a bit and I'm not a fan of the over face-ifying of him with the counting before the kick and all that, but as a guy he pretty much has it all.

He's ok on the mic, but I agree, there's something missing. I'm launching a huge Fig Fed on IG soon where followers determine the winners and Drew will not be in it. |

The Beast Master was a superior champion. Matches may have been worse but he presented himself and felt like WWE Champion. Drew doesn’t feel like he’s champion.

He’s the best “first time champ” they’ve produced in years. He’s a guy that has the chops not only to get there once but stay in the upper echelon once his reign is over. Very rare thing these days. They just have to continue building him as a badass and not forget about him once his reign inevitably ends.

He's been one of the best champions in years, which is impressive considering the situation he's stuck in being champ. If he holds that title for 2 years, even when this virus passes, i wouldn't be mad.
The role just suits him. He's got the look, the size, the personality, the gimmick, and the ring ability... He's a star. Plus, he's still really young... If he stays healthy (Injury wise), he can hold that top spot for at least another 10 years.
I feel that within the next 5 years, he'll be the definitive face of WWE. I think the ship has sailed on Reigns & Vince will realise that soon if he hasn't already. That's not to say Reigns will fall far, but he'll move into that very close second role behind Drew.
Also, the fans haven't turned on him yet, and i think he'll be one that they don't turn on.
Arn Anderson said it best about Drew's reign so far, the only thing bringing it down is the lack of fans in attendance.

He's hit home runs with what's been given to him in the Pandemic Era. Pulled some entertaining matches out of Big Show and Dolph Ziggler in the year of our lord 2020 and will probably put on a banger with a motivated Randy Orton at SummerSlam, especially since he put on some great matches with a far less motivated Randy last year.

Don’t watch the majority of RAW, so I’m a bit outside of the conversation.
The few matches of his as champ I’ve seen were solid. I’m worried they’re going to blame him for the loss of viewers and have someone take the title off of him in attempt to “shake things up” (the same thing happened to Kofi last year). It’s a bummer that match against Lesnar (the best WM match by far) didn’t happen in front of fans. I think he should get a long reign in attempt to build a new star, but I doubt they have the patience and energy for that.

With how quickly he won the IC Title, and was pushed as "Vince's Chosen One" in late 2009 - early 2010, i thought he'd surely be a World or WWE Champion at some point in the future. Although by mid-late 2011, i had lost almost all hope that it was going to happen. Then by late 2012 when 3MB happened, i lost all hope. To make up for it, he was my WWE Champion a lot in WWE 13 & 2K14. |

That WM match with Drew/Brock was one of the worst WWE Title matches I’ve ever seen. It was legit “Brock hits a few finishers, Drew hits a few finishers, Drew wins in under 5 minutes.” It was worse than the typical Brock matches we’ve seen the last few years. I will say outside of that Drew’s matches have all been very good. But that WM match was the drizzling craps. |
