I think the catch 22 with the Orange Cassidy push is that the more he actually is presented as a main player, the more he loses the thing that made him popular to begin with. Without the careless pockets bit that everyone loves as a midcard act, he just becomes another guy and is destined to fall back into the midcard with less momentum than he had to start. Maybe im cynical but I just don't see it working maybe cynical but reasonable. i think you're right, but OC will run his course either way in his current gimmick. he can have a good program with jericho, get a surprise pop win ala hurricane/rock, and then ride those waves until it's time for a change. i can't really see a better ceiling or run for him than that, but who knows. That's also valid. To me, Orange is a perfect example of an attitude era mid card guy like Mr. Ass or Rikishi. The gimmicks that can stay over as long as they know their spot, but as soon as they are pushed to the main event for their midcard tier popularity they lose what makes them special. |

sloppy finish, right intent. i've never seen jericho fail at performing to that degree.

I agree though that match had some sloppy moments. I enjoyed it but their first one was a fair amount better. Finish was 100% botched Jericho rolled the wrong way lol. he was suppose to roll forward. Cassidy has won with that pin before but never when the guy rolls the wrong way. |
