Maybe we can pin this, only a matter of time until people start doing fix ups. I did one, and I am curious to see if others have done any touch ups. I think I want to get Kenny a custom shirt too, to cover his skin tone. The picture makes his hair look a bit brighter than it really is, but it looks 100% better. Did a little bit of dry brushing.

I picked up the first wave Kenny with the black hair and realized its almost a perfect NJPW Cleaner-era headscan.
Sitting on that head, Jericho's black gloved hands, a pair of Mattel's aviator style glasses and waiting for a few more series of figs to drop for the right parts to piece together an easy custom.
If the NJP figures ever see the light of day I'll probably throw one of those belts on him as well as a custom Bullet Club t-shirt.

Does anyone know if the upper torso on these is connected via a ball joint same as lower? Or does it have to be torso cracked

My kenny omega is floppy all over so was seeing if they both come apart easy so I could maybe stiffen it up a little

these figures have easy pop - no heating required: head, hands, chest, and torso.
With heat: the legs are on ball joints

Gonna slowly deplete my Mattel fodder stock and once these are easier to find gonna be using these for customs going forward. No more pain in the arse torso cracks! Sadly probably a year away until supply is high enough that they can be found easy. No way I'm being that person hoarding figs for customs if people can't find them for their collections.

Also I’m nervous about customizing series 1, the value of these figs could be nuts in 5-10 years

Do you still have to heat the parts up to get them apart? Concerned about how heat will affect the softer torso piece
Oh I see someone said no heat. Interesting.

I wish their skin tones matched Mattel’s because I would swap out Cody’s and Omega’s for some arms with definition to them. I am not a fan of the shape (or lack of) of the arms on the AEW figures.

If the AEW arms can fit on Ultimate Edition shoulders, then Jericho’s tattoos can be added to his WWE figures. But would require a torso crack to swap the shoulder joints.

The skin tones will be off, though. The mattel figures look cartoony compared to the jazwares figures. The proportions look much more like humans. Hands are smaller, thighs are thicker, heads are usually smaller and don’t look like bobble heads like many Mattel’s suffer from.

After spending a week with these AEW figures I like them more and more compared to Mattel. I honestly felt like the elite line has been pretty stale for awhile now. These Jazwares figures are a much needed breath of fresh air.
