Where did they come up with the tag lines for these things first we got The Horror Show at Extreme Rules, and somehow now we have Youll Never See It Coming for Summerslam. Just why?

You’ll Never See It Coming is in regards to the Claymore and RKO.
I’m fine with them as long as they relate to the PPV. Current events have given them the chance to experiment with different things they wouldn’t normally do. These tag lines are just another example.

I like the Summerslam, reminds me of Persona 5 lol
I don't really mind the taglines, they are far more things to complain about WWE right now

Meh, who cares?!
The PPVs aren't like what they were a year ago when we had fans. This new normal we are in now means WWE could do whatever they want without any fear of backlash from an audience because there is none.

They've been making dad jokes with PPVs for a while now, remember when they went all out on the road to wrestlemania, after the Rumble we had the Fast Lane PPV like were in the fast lane to mania, then wait what's this? Road Block PPV absolute ridiculousness

I couldn't care less what they call it, I'm more focused on the action and the stories.
It could be WWE Presents SummerSlam: That Chili Gave Me Gas and if the matches are good, I'm cool with it.

You'll never see it coming, but street profits vs garza & Andrade, asuka vs sasha banks, MVP vs Apollo crews and asuka vs Bayley have all been seen on raw and smackdown for the past month.

"The Horror Show at..." and "You'll Never See It Coming" are really weird hills to die on from the company that brought us such gems as "...and Stairs!" and "The Ragin' Climax".

I think it's fair to say a lot of these suck. but I'd take them any day over events named after gimmick matches, so there's that positive. |

I think it's fair to say a lot of these suck. but I'd take them any day over events named after gimmick matches, so there's that positive. I mean, for the most part, I just laugh them off. I'm generally all for anything that injects a touch less routine to the calendar. "It's October, so we're going to settle this inside HELL IN A CELL....this Sunday, at Hell in a Cell!" I preferred the varying IYH titles and taglines, but if calling it "The Horror Show" is what it takes to separate this year's Extreme Rules from last year's or next year's, then whatever. I'm still gonna watch for only $9.99 a month! |

At the last quarterly earnings call, Vince told shareholders that the metric they are using to measure success in the short to medium term is the number of Wfigs complaint threads. The PPV tag-lines are designed to achieve this goal, but industry analysts have predicted that the total complaints for this quarter will not even be in the same ballpark as the record highs of the Daniel Bryan vs The Authority feud.
Insiders are reporting that independent research has been commissioned to determine the primary catalysts for complaint threads, and initial findings have narrowed it down to two things:
1. WWE doing the same old poop.
And
2. WWE changing anything at all
