Eh, Rude and Hennig seem like a modern thrown together tag team based on a gimmick name.
I was never a fan of stars slumming it in WWF/WWE as a tag team. Unless it's the star of the show like the Mega Powers.

Primo Colon and William Regal were tag champs in my E-Fed back in 2011, so I would say them.

The Mountie & Big Bossman Law & Order Legit tag team in my hasbro fed back in the days On another board, we do an annual Wrestling Draft game. One of my favorite things is creating tag teams & names, and I've done (and seen) a couple versions of this. Mix in Mustafa Ali and David Otunga as well. Before he left WWE and went back to his old name, I would pair up Sean Waltman and Neville as X-Pac and the Ex-Pac Others good ones off the top of my head. What's Up, Doc? - R-Truth and Luke Gallows Who Can Brown Beat For You? - Monty & D-Lo Brown The Pillage People - Rowan & The Bezerker

Some that i've made over the years.
- Cesaro & Drew McIntyre (Current Era Drew) Always thought this would be a good team.
- CM Punk & Chris Jericho 'Best In The World'
- Kurt Angle & Chad Gable Would have been cool to see them have a little run in 2018. Gable would have done most of the work, with Kurt coming in for the hot tag, signature moves, and win.

Mr Perfect and Ravishing Rick Rude are the first guys I think of as a team that never was. I made them a team in my Hasbro fed and every year on WWE video games.
Instead of turning Doink face when Matt Bourne left, they could have made a heel tag team of at least two Doinks.
Years before Kronik, Crush and Adam Bomb seemed destined to team together one day as their WWE characters.
Maybe The Berzerker and The Barbarian.

Rude didn't even want a manager so he sure didn't want a tag partner!! But I think they would have been a good squad. hennig was versatile enough to transition to tag team wrestling.

Vince McMahon and Donald Trump- Dumb and Dumber Student and Teacher with Vince in the Dean Douglas role and Donald as Buddy Landell. NO politics here, non intended but any WWE fan for the past 20+ years can see how Vince McMahon influenced his friend Donald Trump to up his game in the entertainment and celebrity world. I remember with fondness how mild mannered Donald Trump was at WrestleMania IV and V and VII and how mild mannered Vince McMahon was in the 1980s and early 90s. In 1997 Vince changed his whole game and became the centerpiece of the show along with Steve Austin. At some point he taught his formerly mild mannered friend how to become the centerpiece of pop culture and gain world wide attention. Again, NO politics here, non intended, please do not lock this thread.

Would Big Bossman and One Man Gang (crooked cop and criminal) have made more sense as the Twin Towers than Akeem?

Far as I've heard that was the original plan until Vince decided to punish OMG & make him Akeem Why did he want to punish One Man Gang? According to info on Duggan & Dibiase's shoots he had no showed 2 events because he was complaining to Vince he never got his promised "run around the horn" with a champ. His run with Hogan on house shows was cut short & he was told he wouldn't be doing one with Savage either. Vince decided to change his gimmick to Akeem because he knew Gray loved the OMG gimmick. I presume the guys asked Ted & Jim the question about him because they were close in real life from the UWF days.

Funny how he wouldn't give him a run with Hogan or Savage as OMG but he gave him a run with both of them in the tag team as Akeem. Weird. Vince Logic... The Cops & Robbers tag team (Boss Man & One Man Gang) would have been kind of cool.
