Hercules and Billy Jerk Haynes. "Herc-n-Jerk". They could have been the first match on a D level house show.

According to info on Duggan & Dibiase's shoots he had no showed 2 events because he was complaining to Vince he never got his promised "run around the horn" with a champ. His run with Hogan on house shows was cut short & he was told he wouldn't be doing one with Savage either. Vince decided to change his gimmick to Akeem because he knew Gray loved the OMG gimmick. I presume the guys asked Ted & Jim the question about him because they were close in real life from the UWF days. That sucks. Funny how he wouldn't give him a run with Hogan or Savage as OMG but he gave him a run with both of them in the tag team as Akeem. Weird. Vince Logic... The Cops & Robbers tag team (Boss Man & One Man Gang) would have been kind of cool. It would have been...I think in the end it was Hogan(who basically had his choice of folks to feud with) that gave The Twin Towers the pivotal Mega Powers feud because he liked both guys and he felt that they had done too much with Heenan. Hart didnt have anybody suitable, POP(1st choice) were busy with Demolitions face turn... but Slick had some monsters....

Akeem is probably what he is most famous for. Even non wrestling fans, like parents of grandparents who buy the toys, have to recognize Akeem more than the Gang.

His 2 year run as Akeem from fall 88 til fall 90 when he bolted down south is easily his claim to fame. I was really surprised as a kid when Bossman squashed him at WM6

What also surprised me was the number of times Boss Man knocked Akeem off his feat, if you go back and watch Akeem's matches he didn't fall down a lot. He seemed like one of those guys that was really hard to knock off his feat.
