In an Interview with Sporting News recently, Seth had this response:
On how he doesn’t know what fans want: “It’s funny how that works. I don’t know what the fans want. You give them what they want and they reject it. Then you give them what they want again and after two weeks and they want what they rejected. It’s such a weird roller coaster. Wrestling fandom is one of the wildest things in the world. We have to do things week to week because we really don’t have things planned and done for weeks like a TV show. Everything changes week to week. I can’t imagine being somebody who has to write a wrestling show; you have to lose your hair. I can just do my job the best I can.”
Once again dude just puts his foot in his mouth. Fans today love long term coherent story-telling. Game of Thrones took 8 seasons to get to plots they introduced the first episodes. Problem is WWE is booked by sitcom writers and out of touch Vince.

Remember how harshly people reacted to season 8 lol? That was a whole new level of holy crap. But I agree, Seth kinda (ok, totally) crapped the bed with the end of that comment. Literally just said "we have no idea what we're doing, and we have no idea how to fix it". The war of who can say the stupidest thing between Rollins and Ospreay is becoming a tale as old as time itself. Rollins just took the lead again, so i'll be looking everywhere to find Ospreay's "rebuttal" when he puts his foot in his mouth about something in the next few days lol.

Im with the hate on season 8, point was though they had a long term story. I would rather dislike the result versus week to week foolishness. WWE booking is essentially “Whose Line is it Anyways”, where it’s all made up and the points don’t matter.

I'm convinced the "give them what they want and it's rejected" is just him talking about when he was getting boos last year.

At some point you'd think that the people in charge and the butt kissers who work for them would have to come to the realization that the declining numbers might be THEIR fault. More proof VKM and #45 are two peas in a pod.
Blaming your supporters (and not stopping the buck at the top) is a bad move and clearly tone deaf.

Couldn't agree more. Todays fans are fickle and get tired easily. I can understand why the wrestlers get frustrated because one minute they're oozing with popularity and the next they're getting booed out of buildings. I've even seen people turn on Mcintyre lately.
Even NXT call ups get turned on as soon as they're called up.

Sooooo, he's claiming that it's a benefit shows often have rewrites day-of air, and there is often no coherent momentum to anyone or anything, and we're just not supportive enough of the product?

This guy just loves kissing Vince’s a** and putting his foot in his mouth.
Sure, piss off the fans by saying the shows constantly having their scripts ripped apart hours before air time is good for the product. Rather than point to the main issue being an out of touch 70 year old man with an egotistical daughter who thinks she’s a writer, simply remain a “yes man” and continue to insult your core audience.
Seth can’t go away fast enough.

How dare he praise the evil fed! What a bootlicker, defending the same company that sapped him of all his ROH workrate points. He’s such a shill now. Re-learn to wrestle, Seth, don’t blame the tangs just because they blindly hate everything and only watch the show to upset themselves. When did you even last do a flip? Get off Twitter and brush up on your flips.
Btw DAE love when AEW wrestlers defend their company in interviews and on social media? Wholesome to see it.

Honestly WWE writing is poor and I feel they lack stars. They don't have a #1 guy like they did with John Cena which is hurting them at the moment.
