Always wanted this style. I am still waiting and I think Mattel will not make it now bcoz its too late. This is basically E51 without that specific entrance vest and the mask. I remember seeing a video awhile back where someone had a custom mask and entrance vest on the E51 figure and it looks mad dope! I believe it was Wrestling Hero Figs, but I could be wrong.

Every AJ should have different accessories to look unique straight repaints is the reason of rotting

I remember casually walking into my TRU one day and finding that figure, then going online and seeing people going crazy about not being able to find it. Lol. It’s one of the better figures he’s had too imo. It’s a shame it was pre-face printing. It really is a shame that Mattel has been so uninspired with his releases. There’s no reason for their not to be too sweet in his figures ever since the Finn 2 pack. I was brand new to collecting when the Network Spotlight came out. I went to TRU to buy the Shinsuke Funko when it came out, and they had the AJ figure. I passed on it, thinking I could just get it at a later time, but man I didn’t understand how things worked yet haha. I got it eventually, but I always kicked myself for passing on it. That’s about the time I got back into collecting as well. I remember sitting in the TRU parking lot waiting for them to open to buy that damn Shinsuke pop! Lmao. That’s one of the things I love about this hobby, it gives up all so many common touchstones like that!

I picked up another regular Rude last night at WalMart because it was the robe off version and the funny thing was there was no Blassie or Styles. Just the Rude, Elizabeth, Visera, Rousey and the Fiend figures. Yesterday I went back to this store and all that was gone was the Fiend, but the funny thing was there now was a Styles on the pegs with the remaining Elizabeth, Visera, Rousey.

I haven't bought wwe figures in a couple years, but I always check, I noticed my Target allocated 8 pegs for those shampoo bottle figures, that's gotta be discouraging, oh yeah, that and there's nothing but roman reigns and aj styles, I say, "I hope you like roman reigns and aj styles, cause that's all ya got.". You need to be an online shopper nowadays or you miss out on a LOT of figures. I just noticed how much I miss TRU, the September chill sets in and that's the time you'd roll up to TRU and see some of the newer figures/exclusives coming in. An, the good old days of TRU, where they would put more than one case of a series out at a time.

I think I'm the only one who prefers Elite 66 AJ. It's the first AJ figure I saw that made me actually want an AJ figure. I don't love light blue, and he's been repainted, but that one nailed it for me.
As for 77, it's a great figure, but it's greatness is hurt by how many others we've gotten. If they'd skipped two or three others leading up to him, we'd be talking about how no one can find this one instead of how much of a nuisance it is.

Way too many aj figures.
I remember how hard it was the get his first to elites, now they’re clogging clearance pegs and normal priced pegs.
It’s sad

To many AJ figures every 2 or 3 elite sets has him. This is very similar to the elite 9,12,16 Randy Orton situation where they clogged pegs for a while and Boss Bill from Mattel pulled the plug on adding elite Ortons to the line for a while because he was a terrible seller.

I’d say I probably like it a little more than E77, but I like E74 more than both of those.

My Target is loaded with that, the old gray Top Picks one that won't go away, and (unrelated) Weasel Suit Bobby Heenan.

I went to my nearest store that sells Elites (B&M) a few days ago - all they had was four of this damn AJ and four WM Woken Matt Hardys.
I never want to see this AJ again!

They usually only stock one case at a time and get elites every 2 to 5 waves.

I've seen a ton of this AJ figure around as well but he usually has been selling pretty good. Target sits on them longer than Walmart due to the higher price there but he's usually gone in a few days to a week.

Did Mattel overproduce this Series? The local Target must have gotten 15-20 cases already & are currently sitting on 18 AJ Styles. I know he’s two per case but this is ridiculous. Especially when they have sold through the set numerous times. Now Walmart is getting them several times. Usually the stores will get them a few times and then move on but this set just keeps coming and will make it difficult for 78 & 79 to come in.

Imagine being told in 2015 that one day we would all complain about the number of AJ and Nakamura elites.

I recall that last year the stores in my area had waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many Summerslam basics. Some of those hung on the pegs through Christmas. I remember thinking they definitely overproduced those.
