I always believe BAM BAM should have been a champ in the WWF
Do you think it would've worked? What would be a good timeline to get the belt on him and would it be as a face or heel/.
I would have him as a hell and have Bret Hart go over, but I can't find a good timeline for it. I'm struggling
Ok how about he defeats Bret Hart at Survivor series 1995 then loses it to Diesel at December IN YOUR HOUSE?
Only a one month reign but at least he would hold the belt?

The rumour has it that just like DiBiase, and Bad News Brown, Bam Bam Bigelow was supposed to win the WWF Title at Wrestlemania IV. He said it in a shoot interview back in 1998.
Now, do I believe this?? Yes and no. Yes, I do believe that he was told that by Vince McMahon. But no, I don't believe he was ever actually gonna win it. Though, in 1988 Bigelow was teaming with Hogan on the house show circus wrestling DiBiase and Virgil or DiBiase and Andre in tag matches.
The fact that Bam Bam Bigelow never held any championship gold in the WWF is crazy.
I remember thinking he and IRS were gonna win the Tag Titles at SummerSlam off the Headshrinkers but Diesel and HBK did that the night before. Then I remember thinking he and Tatanka were gonna win the Tag Titles at the Royal Rumble but the Kid and Holly got the upset win.
At least Bam Bam Bigelow got to be ECW World Champion. I guess that's better than nothing.

I'd have em win KOTR 95(as a heel) then face Diesel for the belt at SSlam in which he would win.Cant see a long reign but still it'd be a run nonetheless.

That's probably the only time I could see him as WWF champion, but I don't think they were going to make him the WWF champion after losing to a football player a few months earlier. He still would have made a better opponent for Diesel at Summer Slam than Mabel. I don't think he was ever really in contention to get the belt back in 1988, he was a little too green at the time for that run. But I could see him and Hogan having a feud together, they were at least starting the feud the way Hogan usually likes to, they were teaming together again DiBiase & Andre a lot in late 1987 and early 1988. So, I could see Bam Bam turning on Hogan and feuding with him at some point.

He was pretty much thrown to the side post Mania IV.They teased a feud with OMG stemming from the match they had there but in the end it was quietly dropped and he was gone by the Summer. Shame. If they didnt go with Warrior for the HTM squash at SSlam he could've been another good option for that spot.

1995: Bye bye Mabel....
Bam Bam turns into a monster after losing to LT...he's humiliated and takes it out on the Roster...
Bam Bam destroys
Aldo Montoya on Raw Adam Bomb @ IYH 1 123 Kid @ IYH 2 bests Bulldog, Vega & Razor to win KOTR & become #1 contender Beats Luger on Raw sometime between KOTR & Summerslam in a much hyped encounter....have him wipe the floor with Holly in this time period too. Beats Diesel @ Summerslam 95. Nash reign was tanking...time for a course correction. Retains against Diesel @ IYH3.
You begin the build to Bret vs Bam Bam @ Survivor Series 1995.
If You all want to keep HBK vs Hart @ WM12? Hart beats him @ Survivor Series 1995 in what would be a killer match & everything else happens more or less the same. You have Bam Bam confront Vader @ RR96 & turn face and the two feud until WM12 where they have a match that Vader wins.
BUT? If Bam Bam is booked this way? Does Vince even sign Vader because he's got a killer big man already....

I guess that's better than nothing. A lot of former WWF workers have always stated that they were suppose to win the world title. Bruce Prichard always says that Vince tells them that they "look" like they can be world champion and that Vince never promises anyone that they will be the champion. They are given an opportunity and whatever they do with that is up to them. But for what it's worth, nah, Bam Bam should not have been world champion. His '87 run was cool, but there would have been no way Vince would have put the belt on him. And I don't think Bigelow would have sold out any buildings for house shows, house shows still were the main venue to see marque matches. Bigelow was used properly back then and once he came back in the 90's, there were just too many other better people to have a title. Of course Bigelow was a good worker, he moved well, looked good (gimmick wise), etc. But to have him as the top guy? No. Not everyone needs to be world champion, not even for one month, most workers are used in just the right way.

Did Bam Bam have enough drawing power to be champion?
I enjoyed him in ECW, but it's hard to imagine him with the WWE World title.

Turning Bam Bam face in a roster that was already crammed with top flight faces made ZERO sense. Crazy.... Agreed, between WM11 and SSL95, the WWF had Bret, Shawn, Diesel, Taker, Razor, Davey Boy, Lex Luger, and 123 Kid as their top babyface roster, where was Bam Bam going to fall in that line - at best I see him as the #8 babyface. Making him a monster heel, taking the place of Mabel, makes the most sense - even if he never becomes World Champion. I would have rather seen Bam Bam vs Undertaker and vs Diesel than Mabel. I gotta say, I do like the idea of Bam Bam beating Diesel at Summer Slam and dropping the title to Bret at Survivor Series 95 (though I really did like the Diesel/Bret match at SSE95 and how they built Diesel as a monster heel to go up against Taker). I also like the idea of Bam Bam working with Vader in 1996, especially more so than Yoko - who was having a lot of issues at that time.

Its all about presentation man....Hard to imagine most folks with the belt until they actually get it. If Bam Bam had been booked as above? A short reign as a monster heel would be no problem for him...

It happens in October @ IYH4: Great White North. Bret vs Diesel in a #1 contenders match because Bam Bam cheated to beat Diesel @ IYH3. We get the same KILLER match & outcome. Diesel goes heel after the match. but him on a team @ SSeries 1995 & have him put in an utterly dominant performance...then book him the exact same... Its all gravy

Start building right from his return in 1992 and give him Yokozuna's reign. Bigelow wins the 1993 Royal Rumble, wins the title at Wrestlemania (all the better if the shenanigans with Hogan are cancelled) and proceeds to feud with the company's babyfaces before dropping the belt back to Hart.

1995 is the only time I see him realistically winning the WWF title. Like others have said replace Mabel with Bam Bam and give him the title shot at SS 1995.
