Ashley Vox has an entrance now. They're seemingly only giving entrances to people they're going to use lots. Makes sense since she's dating Leyla Hirsch. Would love to see delmi show up too and get the sea stars in action together on dark

JD Drake has a theme now too. Really cool sounding one too. Also he used a claymore as a finisher tonight and it really worked. I'm so confused how he and Nemeth are kinda paired up now but I really like JD and Nemeth totally made a big fan out of me this last month so it's all good.

Good night tonight. I'd say the Cutler/cage match is worth a watch for the storyline implications. Allie match is worth a watch too. First time she's wrestled in a long time and you can tell she's been working really hard to improve. Qt Marshall/Shawn Dean was match of the night by a large margin imo. That one is definitely worth watching.

JD Drake would have perfect to put with FTR. I'm cool with Pinnacle, but that would have been a great trio.

I don't know if they show them seperately on youtube or if you have to find them within Elevation, but these little spotlight profiles they've been doing (They did Red Velvet, Lee Johnson, and now Bear Country) are really cool and worth a watch.

Some good watches from tonight:
Cassidy/Taylor vs Nemeth/Drake. New theme for Cassidy, and he was especially funny during this match.
Kilynn King vs Ryo Mizunami. It had the typical Ryo silliness at moments, but it was a heck of a match.
Bear Country vs. Private Party. I thoroughly enjoyed this, had some good dynamics in it.
Fuege/Page and Kaz/Limelight were likely pretty darn good, but admittedly I was getting distracted during that part of the show so I was kinda zoned out.
Large Spectacle is pretty fun on commentary. He obviously still gets some of the obscure move names wrong, but he sounds like he's enjoying himself and overall he does a pretty good job.

I wouldn't of had that job guy kick out of the piledriver on his first night. I suppose they felt they had to give him something & it shouldn't have been more offence since he was against Moxley.

Yo why was Cassidy's new theme song so loud I'm guessing it's because "Where Is My Mind" is a pretty chill song and if it's not played loud you can barely hear it. It is hella loud though. lol

Tony Khan paid a lot of money for "Where Is My Mind", so you're damn right we're gonna sit here and listen to it.

It's been 3 great weeks of elevation and regular dark, and I still have no idea what the difference is lol. There are more packages and I think maybe slighly longer matches on Elevation, and a different commentary team. Past that it's the same thing. Similar ratio of men's/women's matches. Similar ratio of enhancement/regular, regular/regular, and enhancement/enhancement prospect. I'm not complaining I'm enjoying it but it's basically the same thing.
Anyways- good matches from tonight:
The team Taz/enhancement match is a must watch from a storyline perspective. The match itself is what you'd expect, a total squash, but the story stuff is important. Madi Wrenkowski vs. Jazmine allure was nothing special, but I really like this Madi Wrenkowski. Reasonably athletic and gets the personality bit. Glad to see her picking up more wins. She's the best of Rosa's imports imo.
The 6 women tag match I thought was pretty good. I've been waiting a while for the Sea Stars to appear in a tag match together in AEW. Vox has an entrance which seems to suggest she's tier 0'd given the lack of entrances for newer enhancement. Delmi is her sister and tag partner from the indies so I figured it was a matter of time. Good match though. Vertvixen is still kinda rough around the edges, but Sea Stars have been a pretty entertaining independent team, Swole looks better than she did before her Chron's flareup, and Velvet and King are both awesome in the ring. If King can ever figure out her character work, I legit think King/Velvet could be a phenomenal title feud in about 3 years time. Also added fuel to the fire for the upcoming Velvet/Cargill match (I'm assuming the week after this on Dynamite).
Nakazawa match was the most tolerable it's ever been. This whole corporate stooge nakazawa that wrestles in business clothes I can enjoy. No more stupid baby oil/thong gimmick. God I hated that crap.
Miro/Kip again relevant from a story perspective.
Caster/Reynolds was good. Gonna be a real test for Reynold's these next 4-6 to see how he functions without Johnny Hungee.
Honestly they got a lot of the less enticing stuff out of the way early. Start the show at Team Taz forward and you've got a pretty solid 45 minutes/hour of storyline relevant wrestling mixed with solid matches.
Also another plug to go back and watch the Kilynn King/Ryo Mizunami match from the night before. Even if you hate the Ryo silliness, it's a small part of a banger of a match. Kilynn King has gotten so awesome. I'm such a fan of hers.

I hadn't watched any AEW Dark at all, until a couple of months ago. I've started watching them from the beginning, and I'm now up to January of this year. It's a fun show. Taz and Excalibur are great together, make me laugh so much. It's been fun watching some of these guys and ladies come up over the course of these shows.
I am really bummed about the injury to Lindsay Snow though. I really like her look, and she was good in the ring. I hope she can make a full recovery and get signed full-time somewhere.

That was a bummer of an injury. I've seen her in the crowd for lots of dynamite tapings while she's recovering so they're still paying her to come in and likely will continue to use her once she's healthy

Dark is an easy watch. Taz & Excalibur have fun on commentary and there's not an obscene amount of camera cuts (like other wrasslin shows do)

Elevation 4/5/21
Hangman beat Medium Cass
Varsity Blondes won a nice little southern style tag
Britt got some reps in against Alex Garcia. Garcia got an entrance and has a great look. Wouldnāt be shocked to see her become All Elite.
10 threw around Danny Limelight. Limelight might be my favorite undercard wrestler. Heās pretty good.
Swole picked up another win. Nice to see her back.
Nakazawa had a match. I skipped it.
Lance Archer destroyed Baron Black. Jake was on commentary. Teased a match vs Paul Wight post match and Jake talked about Archerās upcoming match against Sting.
Skipped Mizunami vs Price
Caster got the W against Cabana. His rise continues.
Butcher, Blade, Private Party beat a team of jobbers. Nothing to see here.
Cool little commercial for that sh*tty Casino game
Big Paul interviewed Silver. NGL, I hope this is a future match. Anyway, it was short & honest. No silly gimmick. If Silver ends up as a somewhat pushed guy, itāll be because heās fun and toned down the Hungie sh*t.
Hardy got a victory over 5. Build continues for a match vs Darby.
Page & Sky got the win over the Sydals. Still kinda miffed that thereās still no explanation on why Sky left SCU, but this is a fine tag team since it gives both guys something to do.

This was a loooooong episode, so I'm going to keep this short.
Takecrapa vs. Limelight. Holy crap. Go watch that one. Hell of a match. That could have opened or main evented dynamite. Takecrapa walks around with that Okada aura to him, and Limelight is really, really talented. Bolded for emphasis because this is probably in my top 3 Dark matches of all time.
Baker vs. Sky Blue was decent I thought. Our first look at Sky Blue on here. I've seen here a couple other times and every time I've been reasonably impressed. She's no Red Velvet or anything, but she can hold her own.
The QT/Comorotto match itself isn't really necessary to watch, but it's right after Baker/Blue, and you should at least listen to their new theme. It's a generic rock theme, but I dig it.
Shanna's back (again). She was back, then she wasn't, now she's back again. I believe* her husband came with her this time, last time she came solo, but this time during her 2 week quarantine on some beautiful island she got to spend it with her husband. Rough life haha. She wrestled Leyla Hirsch tonight. If you don't like them, don't watch it, if you do, do. It was decent, but if you're not a fan of either you probably won't enjoy it lol.
I'm a huge Diamante mark, but I thought Diamante/Thunder Rosa was a great match. Diamante has clearly been putting in a ton of work, and is clearly very coachable. She's improved noticeably in her 1 year tenure so far at AEW. Kilynn King and Penelope Ford stick out as maybe the only 2 that have improved more than her. Super happy, she seems like a sweet gal, got a sick gimmick and gear, and I'm glad to see her doing well.
Ethan Page/Scorpio vs. Sonny/Joey was pretty good. There was like zero Sonny Kiss silliness spots, it was just a solid wrestling match. Sonny sticks out as another person who has been improving a lot now that he's cutting out the silly crap.
Best Friends main evented against Bononi/Nemeth. That bookended the show with the Pixies theme, which is now just the theme for the entire faction it seems. We'll see on Wednesday if Statlander comes out to it as well, but I doubt it. They definitely are trying to get their money's worth out of it though haha. Match was just fine. Nice to see Trent again but if you're tight on time you're not missing anything essential.
Lastly, and this is just a thought I've been having. It's pretty clear there is a roster that's a "dark" specific roster at this point, much like an NXT roster. Some are #allelite some are tier 0, some are potentally somewhere in between. I was thinking the other day about when some contracts come up in AEW, given the size of the roster, and how some of those people really belong on dark. Unless they've got an offer to go to WWE and make more money, I can't see a better alternative for any of them then re-signing even knowing you're always going to be on dark. I'm thinking of people like Sonny Kiss, etc. Maybe get on 2 dynamites a year, basically spending the rest of your time on Dark. Dark gets viewed by like 300k people a week bare minimum. That's more than Impact. Like Ethan Page could spend his entire career on Dark and have more exposure than he did in Impact. ROH is even worse. Dark is actually some pretty damn good exposure. I hadn't really been considering it like that because it's like 1/3 of the amount of people that watch dynamite, but in reality, it's a pretty good show to be on. You get to wrestle a lot, and you get seen by a lot of people.
Edit: LMAO!!! His Name is Konosuke Ta-ke-shi-ta. The censors on here won't let me spell his name for real. Too damn funny.
