Going off the recent thread of 'Is It Too Late For Joe To Become World Champion?', it got me thinking of other talent getting up there in age, who haven't held a Main Roster World Title yet.
I'd go with Bobby Lashley
I know Lashley has held the ECW Title, which was technically a Main Roster Title, but i'm more surprised they didn't pull the trigger in 2007, and give him the WWE Title.
But now, I can definitely see Lashley getting at least one run with the a World Title, especially with the Hurt Business with him. He'd be a great World Champ for the group and though he's currently the US Champion, after a (hopefully) decent reign with it, I'd like to see him move into the World Title picture again. Lashley as world Champion, Shelton & Cedric as Tag Champions, and MVP as the mouthpiece would make this group that much better.
It will take time, as it should. I don't want to see Drew lose the Title for a while, so unless the World Champions switch brands in the rumoured Draft coming around October, I'd say a great time to make him Champion would be in about 6 months time.
As for the rest:
Cesaro: I'd like to see him as World Champion more than anyone else on the list, but we all know the story behind Cesaro & how he's viewed. "Never Say Never" they say, so hopefully one day he'll get the more than deserving run as World Champion.
John Morrison: Also cheating a bit with this one since he has held the ECW Championship, but I'm surprised he never held the WWE or World Title at least once during his first run. Now that he's back, I'd like to see him hold either Title at least once, but i guess we'll have to wait & see what he does once he inevitably splits from The Miz.
Robert Roode: Here's one that they dropped the ball on. Roode would have made a great World Champion in 2018, and that was probably the best time to make him Champion. Obviously he's dropped down the card a lot since his NXT run, but i think there's still hope for him. Given the right time, story, and faith, i think he'd still make a good World Champion.
Samoa Joe: Like Roode, Joe's another one that would have made a great World Champion during 2018, or specifically in Joe's case, 2017-2019. I wouldn't say they've 'dropped the ball' with him, but obviously injuries have played a big part in his stop/start pushes. Like Roode again, with the right time, story & faith, i still think he'd make a good Champion.
Who do you think is the most likely out of these guys to win either the WWE, or Universal Championship? Why?
