So something that low key we didn’t seem to notice is the battle packs series appears to be finished and is being replaced with this showdown set. Only complaint is that they used to use battle packs as a way to get some low low key characters out and I hope that isn’t taken away now.

I'm shure its just a change of pace for the battle packs. plus the battlepacks quality of characters and designs went down to me but had some gems like the lita/stratus, rollins/becky,owens/ali .but it sucks because for a while we'd get tag teams that were far from getting elites but able to get their figs quick.

I just realized this. Wait I don’t collect battle packs or even basics but for some reason this feels sad hahaha

It was mentioned about a month ago, but to me it just sounded like a name change as we’re still be getting two basic figures together.

The only thing I don’t like about it will be if we don’t see those characters like the Singh’s, or Joey Mercury and Noble. I liked getting those types of battle packs. I don’t think they would waste two basic slots on those types of characters.

I was hoping we would get a battle pack of imperium as elites seem a bit unlikely. Maybe they could do them the same way they did the iconics as exclusives in separate sets

Didn’t know 6 yr olds were on here. Im an adult collector and collect basics I definitely have no problem adding a basic to my collection if it's worth picking up. Mainly Chase figures, First Time In The Line, and legends. A few that stood out and were must haves for me were Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, Sarah Logan, and Tegan Nox, among others. Excited to see this new Showdown series, but Battle Packs will be missed.

The only one I ever liked was the Hornswoggle and El Torito WeeLC pack.

Everyone keeps saying "basics are for the kids" but every time I see on social media a kid opening/playing with a figure or RSC sharing a kids video of an opening, they almost always have elites. Im starting to think "the kids" is just an excuse for people/parents being cheap.

The only one I ever liked was the Hornswoggle and El Torito WeeLC pack. They were both elite that was such a great deal. The only basic 2 pack to come with 2 elite style figures. One of my faves as well.

Is there a difference? Or is it just the title of the line?

Is there a difference? Or is it just the title of the line? "Each figure also comes with its own double-sided Championship Title plates 3 3/4-inches to enhance the battle excitement and use as a display stand for the figures!"

I can’t stand basics since the biceps swivel removal & ankle joint removal, only thing they are good for now is an occasional head swap IMO
