Stole this from another site but it blew my mind!
Counting only the regular PPVs and not the two specials No Holds Barred and This Tuesday in Texas, Herc somehow managed to work every single PPV between Wrestlemania 2 and Rumble '92, just shy of six years' worth and 19 PPVs in total. So my question is...how is Hercules of all people the guy who ended up with this sort of streak?
-------
Wrestlemania 2 - Ricky Steamboat defeated Hercules Hernandez
Wrestlemania 3 - Billy Jack Haynes vs. Hercules (with Bobby Heenan) ended in a double countout
Survivor Series '87 - Brutus Beefcake, Jake Roberts, Jim Duggan, Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat (with Miss Elizabeth) defeated Dangerous Danny Davis, Harley Race, Hercules, The Honky Tonk Man and Ron Bass (with Bobby Heenan and Jimmy Hart)
Wrestlemania 4 - The Ultimate Warrior defeated Hercules (with Bobby Heenan)
Summerslam '88 - Jake Roberts defeated Hercules
Survivor Series '88 - Hercules, Hillbilly Jim, Koko B. Ware, Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage (with Miss Elizabeth) defeated Akeem, Big Boss Man, Haku, The Red Rooster and Ted DiBiase (with Bobby Heenan, Slick and Virgil)
Royal Rumble '89 - Entrant #28 in Rumble, eliminated by Ted DiBiase and Barbarian
Wrestlemania 5 - Hercules defeated King Haku (with Bobby Heenan)
Summerslam '89 - Greg Valentine (with Jimmy Hart) defeated Hercules
Survivor Series '89 - The King's Court (Randy Savage, Canadian Earthquake, Dino Bravo and Greg Valentine) (with Jimmy Hart and Queen Sherri) defeated The 4x4s: (Jim Duggan, Bret Hart, Ronnie Garvin and Hercules)
Royal Rumble ' 90 - Entrant #29, eliminated by Rick Rude
Wrestlemania 6 - Earthquake (with Jimmy Hart) defeated Hercules
Summerslam '90 - Power and Glory (Hercules and Paul Roma) (with Slick) defeated The Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels)
Survivor Series '90 - The Visionaries (Hercules, Paul Roma, Rick Martel and The Warlord) (with Slick) defeated The Vipers (Jake Roberts, Jimmy Snuka, Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels) - Hulk Hogan, Tito Santana and The Ultimate Warrior defeated Hercules, Paul Roma, Rick Martel, Ted DiBiase and The Warlord (with Virgil and Slick)
Royal Rumble '91 - Entrant #10, eliminated by Brian Knobbs
Wrestlemania 7 - The Legion of Doom (Animal and Hawk) defeated Power and Glory (Hercules and Paul Roma) (with Slick)
Summerslam '91 - The British Bulldog, The Dragon and The Texas Tornado defeated Power and Glory (Hercules and Paul Roma) and The Warlord (with Slick)
Survivor Series '91 - Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, The Texas Tornado and Tito Santana defeated The Berzerker, Col. Mustafa, Hercules and Skinner (with General Adnan and Mr. Fuji)
Royal Rumble '92 - Entrant #14, eliminated by Big Boss Man

That is pretty amazing to read, I always like him and thought that Power and Glory were a solid tag team with a phenomenal finishing move. While Herc was "The Power" I always actually thought that Roma was way more jacked than Hercules was, especially in late 91 and 92 when Herc got seemed to get a bit bloated. Still, he was a solid mid carder and for a body guy, he was far better than most people probably would think.

Wow...would never have said that he was on that many PPVs. He was a solid hand that Vince obviously trusted...getting Warrior over etc. He was also unfortunate with Power & Glory.
Vince is said to have been very "high" on them but when he signed the Nasty Boys they got the HF title feud instead. Instead P&G got ran over by LOD @ WM7.

Never was a big Herc fan but I did like him beating up Billy jerk Haynes at WM III and the short run of P&G.The power-plex finisher is still awesome all these years later

I loved Hercules. I grew up watching him. He is one of my top 5 figure wants (I’d like both a blue trunks and a power and glory version with Roma)

WM3 (black trunks), WM6 (blue trunks), SSL90 (Power & Glory trunks), and WM7 (Power & Glory tights). They could do a figure similar to his LJN figure with the entrance gear. And, if they wanted to, do another Power and Glory trunks with they word Power on the back, the Summer Slam trunk were blank. Definitely need a Roma as well.

I remember hearing back then that every time Hercules won a match he would put a new link on the chain.... suffice to say, Hercules must have not won many matches then! Ha ha ha

I mean when there’s only 4 ppvs per year and 2 of them are rumbles and survivor series which usually includes everyone on the roster it isn’t that far fetched.

Was he better as a face or heel? He had all the attributes of a solid heel back in the day. Solid run for big Herc during the mid/late 80's.

I'll go with heel too, he was great in his singles run and in the tag team with Roma. After his initial push as a babyface, he kind of floundered. Really didn't do much. At least with his heel runs he challenged for the World, IC and Tag Titles.

Like others have said Hercules was a good hand and he did what the role called for. He wasn't very talented but I also think more could have done with him. He had that awesome leather outfit when he debuted but they did away with that at some point which seems crazy. Why go through the time and trouble and money to get it made only to ditch it a year later? Going from that to the basic black trunks and chain made him look like a jobber. His face turn was fairly hot at the time but after WM V he really didn't do much and he was jobbed out when needed. He probably should have just left after WM VI but maybe there were plans for Power & Glory. The team was literally a team put together because they were jobbers. It was like New Age Outlaws but they were able to make it work with the talent they had. Hercules would go another year and few months and I bet he was really fed up by the end of his run. 6 years of almost always jobbing would make most anyone just get up after a Sid powerbomb. It also should be noted, he wasn't even scheduled for Survivor Series 1991. He was technically the third choice for the spot.
