So I’m not sure if this’ll work here but I’ve see some other appreciation threads and I thought I’d give this a try. I figured that if anyone deserves an appreciation thread it would be the best wrestler of our time. So post your favorite memories, photos, videos, questions, or whatever and let’s pay homage to the “Real World Heavyweight Champion!”

1992 Rumble, Matches with Steamboat, Wrestlemania VIII, GAB 90, Starrcade 83 and 93 are some of my favorite Flair moments. Ive always looked at Flair as the greatest pro wrestler of all time. I dont think he's the greatest sports entertainer (Hogan) but its hard to argue against Flair.

I only dabbled in the world of WCW as a kid so my main exposure to him as a kid was his 1991 to 1993 run, but I thought he played his role perfectly. He was the kind of heel that I hated, but I knew he was good so when he was wrestling a guy like Randy Savage or Bret Hart that I liked, I always knew there was a high chance he would win. I always wanted to see him and Warrior go at it in 1992 when the Warrior came back.
I will be honest and say that for me personally, he would not make my top ten of all time, but I still think he is great and can see why so many people love him and consider him their all time favorite. My favorite memories of him are his run with Randy Savage leading up to WrestleMania VII which is my favorite match of his, but a close second is a match he had with Tito Santana at The Battle at the Royal Albert Hall in 1991, which was the first time I really saw him go.

Anytime I think of NWA in the late 80s, The Flair/Steamboat trilogy and his feud with Funk always comes to mind first.

I love when he made Eric Bischoff basically his slave after he beat him on Nitro and became president of wcw. I love how in one interview he refers to himself as the president of the United States and Gene corrects him and says president of wcw and Flair said “same thing” 😆

Without him, Charlotte Flair wouldn't exist.
That alone is enough reason to put him in the Hall of Fame another three times.

Another good one from Flair to ringside fans “sit down fat boy, I’ll take your girl and make a woman out of her”

How many other wrestlers could say that they were a great promo for a quarter century? Great in ring, better on the mic, all time great wrestling gimmick. Certainly one of the best ever.

Definitely his feud with Shelton Benjamin over the IC Title in 2006. Also loved his Money in the Bank appearance at Wrestlemania 22. Probably his greatest match ever to be honest.

Oh geez, I could write an essay. Been a fan of Flair since I was eight (1988). Was a WWF kid, growing up in CT with no cable. I would watch NWA/WCW sporadically at my grandparents' in New Jersey. It was then I saw a video package of whom I thought was the coolest guy since Roddy Piper.
When they ended up feuding together in 1991 in the WWF, that was one of my favorite eras as a fan. I was elated when I heard he won the title at the Rumble. Inconsolable when I saw him lose it on video, days after WM 8. Although disappointed to find out Bret ended his second reign, that match is my very favorite. Watched it with my Best Man before my wedding, four years ago, while downing shots.
My first time seeing him in person was also my first time at MSG for wrestling, Watching him bleed after Vince McMahon's attack on Raw in 2002.
The first time attending a match of his, was after moving to FL. I flew up to Boston to see him face Mick Foley in the SummerSlam I Quit match (The second I Quit match I've seen in person, since WM 11).
Then came 2008, when two friends flew down so we could attend WM 24, and the Hall Of Fame ceremony. Two flat tires and a busted side mirror couldn't keep us away. I wouldn't have traded being in the Amway Center that night for anything. I like to joke that I only wear suits for weddings, funerals, and Ric Flair HOF ceremonies. I'm also proud to have attended his final WWF/E match in person.
For those of you viewing this in Desktop mode, you can see the three Hasbro's that are the jewels of my collection. Thanks for letting me share.
