21 in 2010 1 in 2011 1 in 2012 4 in 2013 1 in 2014 7 in 2015 1 in 2016 2 in 2017 5 in 2018 2 in 2019 2 in 2020 I thought 2015 was the return of the sh*t kicking brawling deadman but by 2017 he was toast I think the brutal matches he had with Lesnar in 2015 fooled us all. After taking a year off following the end of his streak it looked like Taker was back. Turns out those 2015 matches with Brock were the last noteworthy matches of his career. Maybe they fooled Undie aswell as he appeared to not be in as good a shape in 2017. That obviously changed in 2018 but they gave him a short match. Then he had some personal problems going into the super showdown and Saudi matches.

Taker said it himself in the Broken Skulls sessions that the fans realize something is off long before the performers. After those matches with Brock in 2015, I wouldn’t be surprised if his WM33 match with Roman was originally suppose to be his last with the way they ended the show. But with how bad the match was, Taker maybe felt it was a fluke and wanted to keep trying until he had a match he felt was worthy to end his career. Sadly it took a “movie” match with AJ to get that.

It would of been awesome to have gotten a feud with the fiend. I could just imagine the promos and even cinematic style of match they could of had.

It was stupid how Undertaker vs John Cena which couldve filled up a stadium years earlier was given away as an unannounced, 3 minute squash.

From Cena's promos in the buildup, to all the attention being focused on "normal fan" Cena sitting ringside, to upstaging Charlotte and Asuka after their stellar match. Sickens me.
