Dynamite begins its second year dedicating tonight's show to future challengers for our AEW champions. The AEW World Title Tournament kicks off, a Fatal 4-Way will determine which team will grapple with FTR, Darby Allin does some sh*t, and perhaps the highest "steaks" ever conceived will be on the line!
Beginning tonight, the road to Full Gear will heavily feature a #1 Contender's tournament for the AEW World Championship, currently held by Jon Moxley. Hangman, Omega, the Lucha Bros, and Wardlow will be among those participating in tonight's matchups, seeking to further their singles aspirations. The next contenders for FTR's Tag Team Championship will be decided tonight. A blind draw determined the competitors, now it will be on them to gain the victory and earn their shot at title gold.
Ever since the company's inception, AEW's locker room has hosted possibly the two most egocentric personalities in all the industry. It's just by circumstance that they have not really interacted, until now. In somewhat friendly banter that often hints at some perceptible tension but reveals undeniable chemistry, Chris Jericho and MJF have traded niceties and compliments over the past few weeks. But this mutual respect will be put to the test as these two meet in the ring, with the victor being treated to a steak dinner on the loser's dime.
Who will rise? Who will fall? Who will catch the check? FIND OUT TONIGHT!

When did we start using eliminator in wrestling? I swear I've only heard that in bowling, and I don't even know why. Not like I watch it.
I'm not a sports person per se though, so someone fill me in.

Haha bowling is awesome. I used to be a league guy.
Anyways, very very full card tonight. A little sour that the women get the shaft for the hundredth time, but moreso than that I'm terrified of how they're going to fit this all in two hours. Always have trouble on the live episodes and this is an especially packed episode. One of the tournament matches has to be very fast

It's impossible for the women's division to get any momentum that way. We're probably looking at Shida vs. Rose at Full Gear and who can honestly say they remember the last Nyla Rose match on Dynamite? [/rant] Fenix vs. Penta gonna be nuts and I'm cheering so hard for Silver/Reynolds and I'm only half kidding when I say that. |

This show is absolutely LOADED tonight. Really excited to see people like Hangman and Kenny in singles action. It looks like every match tonight may deliver, fingers crossed!

I'm so psyched for tonight. I wish this was a 16-person tourney, but I'm content. I love tournament wrestling! Fenix/Penta should be rad, but Cabana/Hangman has sneaky match of the night potential.

This might be my second last threading night for a very long time. My coaching days seem to be changing this year so as of November I might not be able to watch live anymore ðŸ˜

Hopefully Cabana hangman continues the hangman/d.o. stuff as well. This might be my second last threading night for a very long time. My coaching days seem to be changing this year so as of November I might not be able to watch live anymore 😠I'm pouring one out and will continue to do so. At least we have tonight! |

I like them as a team but was a bigger fan of them as singles Having seen my fair share of Pentagon in singles matches in Chicago, his matches get VERY formulaic and predictable. If he were the death match, arm breaking badass he was in the first season of Lucha Underground (the only one I watched), AEW has a star on their hands. Fenix's skills speak for themselves. He's a potential building block for AEW. I'm so happy to have seen his matches in AAW. |

missed last week, getting caught up on that dynamite now. as soon as i finish this, i'm going directly into this week's dynamite, so my plate's kinda full tonight haha. omega/janela has potential to be great, but i'm fully expecting penta/fenix to be off the  ing chart. |

Just heard they pulled Janela because of how many guys tested positive at the collective. Sonny kiss taking his place. Makes sense to replace with the tag partner, and Sonny/Kenny should actually mesh really well together stylistically. Looking forward to that match more than I was before
