I would've essentially switched Waltman into Hall's spot and Hall into Nash's spot

Hall would have gone back to WWF after his contract ended.

I don’t see the angle working as well. Sure, you can turn Sting heel, but he wasn’t an “outsider” like Nash was. He bled WCW and he just wouldn’t have fit the angle with Hogan and Hall.

But Nash was not on the fence lads...Everyone needs to understand that. This is revisionist history... peddled by Nash who one of the biggest liars in wrestling. I think there's SOME truth to Nash wanting to stay in the WWF. I'm sure if Vince had matched the offer he'd have stayed, even if WCW had the lesser schedule he had been there and they used him pretty badly the first time around. And he'd have been around his buddies had he stayed. But I'm sure he knew Vince would never match that offer so from that point of view his bags were packed. --------------------------------- To play devil's advocate had Nash decided to stay, I see Stone Cold as the biggest casualty here. If Nash stays there's no curtain call, IE no Austin 3:16, so HHH wins the KOTR. You've also got Nash's early 96 character as being very very close to what Austin would be doing from the KOTR onward. If Nash stays in the WWF, you lose Austin becoming the guy to save the WWF AND the exposure the NWO brought to WCW. There really isn't any truth to it man. He said himself on his own RF shoot & the outsiders one the minute he heard Halls offer he was gone. He said "when Scott told me E was offering Sting money? I started packing" He's also said numerous times the reduced schedule was as attractive as the cash because his wife was expecting.

I think Sting would've been a better third guy than Nash's replacement. Hall and Nash represented an invasion by the "WwF." Sting and Hall really don't give off that vibe.
A Sting flip by 2 others could've worked better. Still not close to Hogan level though. They would've needed another WWF guy for Nash.
