At the end of the day who do people remember more?
Sting was in the business a lot longer and was massive but Ultimate Warrior was running Hulk Hogan close during his prime in the golden era. Nobody else can say that.
In the 1988-1992 era Ultimate Warrior was over like very few ever get over while Sting was knocking around in the minor league.
Ultimate Warrior was headlining wm6 against the biggest name in industry history while Sting could only look on with envy.
Ultimate Warrior was wrestling in a career ending natch against Randy Savage while Sting could only look on with envy.
Ultimate Warrior made the save at wm8 while Sting could only look on with envy.
Sting was in the business so much longer but he cannot hold a candle to the Ultimate Warrior plain and simple but that's play because very few can...

Many old fans prob remeber warrior quite fondly but never even watched sting until attitude era.

Sting...and it’s not even close. Warrior has one, maybe two, memorable moments in his career that fans look back fondly on. Sting has countless. Defeating the Honky Tonk Man for the IC title. His feud with Rick Rude. (Not a moment, sure, but very memorable and spoken of fondly by many.) Defeating Hogan at WM6. Defeating Savage at WM7. His return at WM8. Squashing HHH at WM12. There are others (particularly facing off with Hogan in the 1990 Royal Rumble), but most fans of classic wrestling would surely be very familiar with these moments, I would think.

Sting had a longer career, obviously, and he achieved an awful lot. To many (me included), Surfer Sting was the face of WCW in the early '90s.
Warrior's career, in terms of active years, was much shorter, and much more sporadic, but at his peak he was a much bigger star than Sting.
Sting had a better wrestling career but Warrior managed to make his five or so active years effectively last a lifetime.
They just had such different careers that a comparison doesn't make sense. They were both awesome, though, I say!

WM6 - Beating Hogan WM7 - Beating Savage People may remember some of those other moments, but I doubt they hold them in regard like they do with Sting’s high points. Surely you wouldn’t put Warrior beating Honkey, his feud with Rude, and squashing HHH on the same level as Sting’s feuds with Flair, the Horsemen, Muta, and Vader, the crow turn, the year long build to Starrcade 1997, and his TNA and WWE debuts, I would think.

All that has to do with the opportunity of being in the WWF at that time and not the wrestler. I can say with 100% certainty if Sting had decided to go to the WWF all those moments you mentioned Warrior had would have been Sting’s moments with Warrior being in the building looking on with envy. And Sting’s feuds with Flair & the Horsemen, Muta, Hogan, Vader, Rude, Cactus were just as good if not better than Warrior’s career hilights. The only exception is the stage where Warrior had two high profile WrestleMania matches which doesn’t make a better career. Warrior had a great career no doubt but Sting’s was better.

I also doubt Sting was looking on with Envy at Warrior vs Savage....maybe at Hogan vs Warrior because he was laid up with a banged up knee at that point in time. He def wasn't looking on in Envy at Warriors run in at WM8. He was WCW champ at the time...LOL. Flair has said on many occasions that when Vince came knocking in 92 he begged him to go up North because he would have been huge. This was the time for Sting to move...Vince had just canned Warrior & Bulldog. Sting would have been used right by Vince and the WWF merch machine would have been behind him 100%. Vinnie was desperate.

Difficult one to answer. I always felt that when Sting was truly the top guy, it was with an inferior product (at least by perception). By the time WCW had established itself, it was the NWO show. I did like him as the lead singer of the Police though 🙈
Ultimate Warrior is the better known mainstream name.
