In very sad news, the Wild-Eyed Southern Boy has passed away. He had been battling lymphoma and has finally succumbed. Tracy in my opinion was one of the most underrated guys of a previous generation, and someone who has helped so many countless talents over the years. I will miss him dearly.

I'd just heard about Tracy Smothers' passing too. Sad news indeed.
I was a fan of the Southern Boys in WCW, my first exposure to Smothers and Steve Armstrong. I thought they were a good team, hoped they go further than they did.
I followed Smothers' career in ECW and thought he was really good in his role in the FBI. Very funny group in the beginning with JT Smith and Tommy Rich pretending to be Italian.
He will be missed. A great talent for sure. RIP Tracy Smothers.

A hell of a nice guy who was always there for the "mud show" workers. You could send him a facebook message at 2am and get a response back at 2:02am. So very sad.
