Official Ringside Fest @ Home 2020 Discussion - KEITH & LIV!

I have thoughts. Many... many thoughts.

I’ll try to keep them brief.


UE Fiend – He Exists
UE Austin – He also exists
E81 Bianca Belair – She turned out so much better than the render. I’ll be picking her up, despite not particularly liking the attire. (I’ve never been one for figural attire)
E82 John Morrison – FINALLY a decent friggin JoMo! Not only decent, that one’s a home run! I’m gonna have to pick one up... which means I’m going to need a Miz to go with him, so if you could step up Mattel and make a new black-coated Miz Elite to match, that’d be great.
E83 Dusty Rhodes – Glad to be getting a new, main line Dusty. It’s decent enough that I’ll probably pick one up, I’ve been wanting a good Dusty figure for a bit now.
E84 Zelina Vega – She’s absolutely beautiful. Stunning. Gorgeous. I love her and I need one now.
E85 Black, Liv, and ‘Taker - All three of these are attires I’ve been waiting for. If they come out looking as good as the renders, I’ll be picking up all three. Actually, I’ll likely be picking up Liv regardless of how she turns out (unless they completely mangle her) and Black is also a strong candidate for “I’ll get him however”. Taker is iffy though. The render is good, but I’m gonna need finished product on him first.
Elite 2 Pack Jeff and Triple H - This looks like a good two pack, although a bit sad because we're finally getting a 2001 Jeff, but there's no chance of getting a Matt to match. Also, re-releasing the oval IC belt is always best for business. That piece is so dang hard to come by. I might pick up the 2 pack, but at the very least, I'm going to aim for the belt loose.
RR Elite Warrior – HEEEEY! Yellow Belt! I have no personal need or want, but I know many who did, so awesome for all of you!
RR Elite Umaga – I really like that Umaga, and I’m not an Umaga fan by a long shot. If I can get this one for a reasonable price, I might pick him up.
WM Basic Fiend – That's really *REALLY* good for a basic, way above the average faire and frankly, looks better than the UE edition (if you were to swap out the hands)
MotWWEU Becky – Wow. Who’d have thunk one of the best Becky heads they’d ever make would be on a He-Man figure! I wonder if they are swappable, that head would look great on my UE Becky.


UE Flair – If he doesn’t come with a robe, what’s the point?
E81 Shinsuke – That head is bad enough that I’m not even buying him to throw in a box. I’ll pay the extra and just buy the belt loose.
E81 Mae Young – Again, why did they give her the carrot top? Mae’s hair was never that orange. That’s some straight up Big Becks ish going on there.
E82 Alexa – If you’re gonna make a figure that people are gonna buy two of just for the belt, the kind thing would be to make the figure worth owning. That’s the most boring Alexa figure I’ve ever seen, plus the face ain’t that great.
E84 Sheamus – I know the guy’s pale, but jeebus
Fan Takeover – The whole thing
RR Elite Austin – I know they can’t possibly put the “proof” on there. Doesn’t make it any less disappointing.
WM Basic Ricochet – I’m aware it’s a basic but before they stop churning out Rico figures every other series, could you at least put some effort into getting one of them at the correct height? Or is that again, too much to ask?

The Ugly:

UE Fiend – Ok, I get that we were complaining he was too big, but holy crap did they swing too far the other way. He looks downright scrawny now. Hogan is bigger than him! Also, the tint on the hair has me afraid we’re getting brown hair fiend again. Just UGH.
UE Stone Cold – For the love of GOD let the finished product look better than this. First of all, if we aren’t getting at least the smoking skull belt with him, Mattel should be ashamed of themselves. Second, those headsculpts are just awful. The one on the figure? The smiling one? If it wasn’t attached to the figure, I would wonder who it was. The angry head isn’t much better and the neutral head, while the best of the three... Come on Mattel, I KNOW you can make better Austins than this. You have in the past and if this is your newest attempt, go back to what you had before.
E83 Michael Hayes – Why. Just why. It isn’t what we see that’s the problem, but if that’s all we’re getting? Michael PS Hayes didn’t spend years going around strutting his stuff to Badstreet USA to have his figure that friggin boring. If that’s all we’re getting, for an exclusive no less? It’s embarrassing.
E84 Zelina Vega – This has the potential to be one of the better women’s figures out of this whole set of reveals if they make and scale it right. And it’s a damn EXCLUSIVE. A *Target* Exclusive at that. I’m putting this in the ugly category, not because the figure is bad, but because my wallet is gonna be sobbing with how much I’m gonna have to pay to get my hands on one.

Please no. We need a rerelease of the blue strap.

Also, I would like to eventually covert as many elites over to ultimates as I can. Austin will go perfect with Rock and Triple H.

For the love of god!! Did you even watched the ringside fest? Flair is coming with a robe, also the stone cold head laughing one makes sense for photography which that was the were aiming for, Austin used to make a laugh like that then get serious. Also he will
Come with soft goods shirt and additional accessories, The Fiend fig, that’s not final product, it was example they had, let’s see if something changes.

But getting bend out of shape for some dolls is just not the way to go.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with what I saw today. That said, It makes no sense to me they won't do an Elite Nikki Cross with a women's tag title belt or another Brian Pillman figure from the Hollywood Blondes era the same way.
