I got a box from Ringside today. Thought it was Mattel stuff. I opened it and was shocked to see Series 2 in the box. I was super pumped about it, but as I opened them, my excitement turned to a bit of disappointment. The QC on these leaves a lot to be desired.
First the positives: - The selection for the wave is pretty good. Obviously, all new people, and I like that we got another tag team. - With wave 1, I often said I didn't notice the skintones being an issue. Wave 2 makes it noticeable, as it does a way better job with paint. - Good use of accessories. Not everyone had accessories, but not everyone needed them. It was smart to not include accessories with figures that didn't need them, and put that money toward better accessories for other figures. - The sculpts, proportions, and overall paint are really good in my opinion.
The negatives: - QC is really bad. MJF's arm was broken in the package. Luckily, it was a simple case of the elbow pin not being all the way through. I heated it up and fixed it, but it does look like the pin is way too short. It barely reaches the other side of his forearm. I may see if I can replace it with a Mattel pin maybe. In general, there's some wobbly parts again, or joints move too freely due to a lack of friction. - Still in QC, but deserve it's own point: The articulation seems really limited on a lot of these figures, especially around the hips. It seems like the crotch piece is too small for the top of the legs, and it really limits how high the legs can go. It's weird when Jericho can lift his leg higher than pretty much everyone in this wave. Hangman, Moxley, and Dustin are the worst in terms of this. Dustin has a fantastic sculpt (though I wish his hair had a hint of texture in the sculpt) but he's basically a statue. His articulation is insanely limited because there is just like no gap in the joints to allow movement. - Also still in QC, but this makes me furious. THEY STILL HAVE THE BALL JOINTS IN THE HIPS IN A SKIN COLOR!!! This looks awful on figures with pants on. Are they letting their balls get some air? At least cast those joints in black or the color of the pants.
Overall, I'd say the Lucha Bros are the best in the wave, Hangman and MJF are pretty decent, Dustin and Moxley are the most disappointing (mainly because they barely move).

My package is supposedly out for delivery, but it's after 7 PM now and hasn't been delivered yet. From USPS btw. Pretty strange since the mail generally comes between 12-2 PM. Hopefully it's just a case of the usual mailman not working today and things are screwy, but it's late now.

Well nevermind, my girlfriend found the box at the mailbox for our building. Not sure why packages are being left there lately instead of at our door. But they also didn't scan the package as delivered either. But all good. Now I just gotta wait till Thursday to see them.

I just took a look before putting them into the recycling. I see some creases. I don't think I did that but I may have. I also just realized another thing. Not really a complaint, because I'm happy with what was produced, but accessories are very different from what was shown at ToyFair. Fenix didn't come with any of the hands his prototype was shown with or the extra head, although I prefer the hands we did get. Penta only came with three hands and didn't have the extra head his prototype was shown with. Again, I'm happy with the hands we got and I don't need the extra head. I doubt I would have used it anyway. Same with Fenix. Hangman's prototype had a bandana that could go around his face. The one he came with is much smaller and only goes around his neck. Still looks good though. I got a box from Ringside today. Thought it was Mattel stuff. I opened it and was shocked to see Series 2 in the box. I like to mess around with them, so for me, it's a glaring flaw that seems like it could easily be fixed. It boggles my mind how that gets through. These figures clearly weren't meant for just display. There's obviously a large group of collectors that will do that, but it just seems easy enough to make it so it works for both groups.

I just got my lucha bros and hangman, no issues here, no qc issues on my copy, I have nothing moan or bitch about. Suck for the ones that got stucked with qc problems. Oh well, truly pleased with them.

I just unboxed them and agree on the articulation for the legs. Can move much forward or backwards. No issues with my MJF but I lined up my elite Goldust to Dustin and big size difference. The Dustin fig is the same size as the latest Undertaker. Mox is just a bit shorter.

I was hoping they'd address the limited hip movement. Being able to kick out the legs 90 deg for a big boot / sitout should be the bare minimum for wrestling figures.

Just so I’m clear your saying the hip articulation is less than series 1 because I didn’t find any real issues with those in that regard Also Dustin was released out of scale .... Jeremy addressed causes of scale issues earlier today on twItch with MWFPod while they were doing an unboxing of the figs

Hangman and MJF are kinda restricted, but still kinda workable. Moxley isn’t as bad as Dustin, but the crotch piece is definitely too small. I think Dustin’s range is a little shy of 45 degrees. The more I work Moxley, the more it improves. He’s around 45 degrees or a little higher.

Gotcha cause series 1 the kick wasn’t perfect but the lean backwards w the hips made up the difference .... well I’ll have em in hand soon enough thx you for the feedback we all appreciate it

I’m kinda working the joints right now. If you twist the legs around at the joints, it becomes easier to get to a full 90 degrees. That’s good, but at the same time it’s wearing off friction and making the joints a bit floppy. I’ll take it, but they should reevaluate the crotch pieces.

Yeah if it’s just a breaking in that’s one thing like with elites but if it’s a deteriorating process then obviously that’s not promising

Yeah if it’s just a breaking in that’s one thing like with elites but if it’s a deteriorating process then obviously that’s not promising It actually works almost like a V cut. It can’t go straight up to 90 degrees. But it can get there if you lift up and turn it outward. Now that they’re breaking in, I am happier, but my rankings stay the same. Lucha Bros would be perfect if the hip pegs were black. Hangman and MJF are good, but have a little weirdness that doesn’t bother me too much. Hangman has chunky feet, and MJF seems really small. I’m not sure if it’s accurate or not, but Fenix, Penta, Hangman, and MJF all seem to be just about the same height. I like Moxley a lot better now that his articulation is functional. I thought he was a little big, but wasn’t sure if that was accurate. I guess it was an error, but there’s times when I’ve been shocked by his size. Same with Dustin.

Jeremy explained w Covid obviously they couldn’t get accurate measurements so they got heights the same way fans do off the internet and obviously that’s usually inaccurate Which probably explains series 1 as well

Just watched the itch that jerry was, the leg color will be corrected in series 3, heights were used by googling, since they don’t have access to the talent ( due to COVID), I recommend you guys listen to it.
