I recently found these 2 posters images from 1996. 1st one from June 15 has Micheals as champion 2nd one from July 25 has Warrior as champion And warrior was facing Vader (which is so cool) so maybe that was gonna be a big fued and match at Summerslam. Maybe Vader was gonna get to beat Warrior for the belt! Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

It was a manipulated poster made for the 2005 self destruction dvd to show that Warrior was so unprofessional that he did not show up for house show matches as WWE champion.

Yeah that 2nd pic is a fake poster made up by WWE for that Self Destruction DVD.

Warrior/Vader wouldve probably been the feud in the Fall if he stayed.Makes sense considering in his last match they had Vader attack em post match with Owen.

If everything had went to plan? I think Warrior wold have been fed to Vader. But as we seen? Summer 1996 went out the window.
As far as Warrior being champ goes? That was never going to happen....he was trouble from the get go when he returned in 1996. He changed the match at WM12 without telling anyone FFS...He was done as soon as he returned.

I do remember hearing a rumor, years ago, that Sid got Warrior's title run when they fired Warrior in 1996. Though, this has been debunked and Sid got Vader's title run when Shawn didn't want to work with Vader anymore. I didn't know that the WWF made that poster with Warrior as champion to mess with him in the DVD and probably the trial that was going on as well. And yet, people that are still with the company continue to say that the WWF would never be petty and ruin someone's push or even career.

I don't know if he would have been fed to him, but I could see a PPV with Vader as the champion facing the Ultimate Warrior. The match probably ends in a DQ or count-out. I really see Warrior's 1996 run as more of an attraction (as they call it) than him being a champion. He seems to be the big name they wanted on a card but not necessarily as champion (kind of like Andre and the Undertaker). Warrior at this time really didn't need a belt, he was already well established. But he was someone you could put on a card to get attention to the event.

I don't think there was ever a plan to bring in Warrior for a world title run, rather Vince wanted to keep him on as a major attraction and nothing more. He didn't even get an IC title run with his feud with Goldust.

I can see a scenario if Warrior was more professional and on his best behavior him getting Taker’s run after HBK lost his smile.

I don’t see him turning heel tho. Maybe eventually he becomes a version of the Bret character where he acts morally superior to everyone which makes him a heel.

One feud we did miss out on is him against Mankind. Just imagine the promos. Must see TV there.

But he probably would have had to be a little heel-ish for him to work with Shawn and Bret at that time, like Sid was. They could have Shawn and Bret kind-of playing the heel-ish person, interfering in each other's matches with Warrior, Warrior would be the Winner not because of his actions but because of Shawn and Bret's.

I was surprised he didn’t win it in 1992. 1996 I wasn’t surprised because I knew that was going to be the year of HBK.

HBK would've thrown a fit just like with Vader. God imagine having to deal with both Warrior and Michaels..

It's funny that his name is on the poster along with Sid's name. Sid was Warrior's replacement. I think if Warrior hadn't already been gone Sid wouldn't be back so soon. Both guys names shouldn't be on a poster unless it was faked, as mentioned.

I still find it strange that people think Warrior would (or should) have had a 10-15 minute competitive match with an early 1996 Hunter Hearst Helmsley. His Wrestlemania 12 match was an absolutely perfect return given everything he'd been in his first run IMO. After that is when it fell apart.
