The 93 rumble is weird to me because it's like they are TRYING to move forward but yet are still a bit stuck in the past That describes a lot of 1993. a true transition year.... To me, 1992 was the transition year and by January 1993, it was established that bret hart and Yokozuna were going to be their main eventers.

Maybe you all knew this but I didn't
Bossman losing this match was his first CLEAN ppv loss in the company
That surprised me!
I think you mean as a babyface? I'm positive he lost clean as a heel. I was a fan of bossman, but Bam Bam was the right guy to put over.

Bossman was still strong in 1992 from what I remember, not sure why his feud with Repo Man wasn't as long as it should've been, "cops and robbers" are always fun with kids. The slow build of Nailz was executed well, but couldn't prolong it because of his physical assault on Vince. That pretty much was a dent on Bossman's run.

Bossman looked done by that point. Good thing he had that late 90s renaissance. I figured he would have had at least one clean loss on ppv somewhere along the way to 1993. Bossman had a decent 1992 run and the Nailz storyline was good. I believe it was a great opportunity to turn Bossman heel in 1993. Losing to Bam Bam and later going back to becoming a dirty cop would be nice. Many storylines can come out of that. I could see him feuding with Bret.

I thought Bossman could have been a great talent during this time...also? Vince was focusing on talents that looked more natural. Did he leave or was he canned?

Going from the 1992 Rumble to the 1993 Rumble might be one of the biggest shifts the company has ever undergone in one year when it comes to the roster overhaul.
The star power in the 1992 event is just off the charts especially compared to the paper-thin roster the WWF had a year later for the same show.

I feel like his character peaked with the Heenan and Mountie feuds. The IRS feud i barely even recall and while Nailz story was well done it definetly fell flat for me. Maybe it was because it was cut short but only 1 PPV encounter to finish it felt rushed. It all just felt unfulfilled with Nailz.

both shoulda been in the rumble itself instead! They wouldve made better entrants than Tenryu and the youngster Carlos Colon that's for sure. Legit laughed
