Apologies if this has been mentioned before I couldn’t find it.
Anyone know if/when Yoko wore the black tights with red band? I can’t find it anywhere. He commonly wore red tights with black band.
Interesting that Hasbro also did black tights with red band, please tell me he did wear this version and it’s not just a figure thing?!

He wore it on an episode of Superstars, November 21, 1992. I think it's on YouTube.

There are a few clips of him wearing it in his HOF induction video (starts 0:36)

Amazing, thanks guys. Glad it’s a real thing...only disappointment is the White HOF is also early run, meaning display wise we’ve got two very close together. The head on the HOF is also incorrect as he didn’t have a beard and the longer hair when he wore the white and black which I think was Rumble 93.

You could always do a headswap on that one with his original elite to make it more accurate though (and have an accurate 96 Yoko in the process).

I’ve never done a head swap and my psycho brain has always rejected customs however good they are, they just make me itchy.....BUT...this is one I might be able to justify to myself, essentially just correcting the heads with Mattel parts as it should have been 😬😅 How easy are the head swaps to do? Any tips? And how easy are they to screw up??

Just heat the head in some hot water for 30 seconds (from a boiled kettle, it softens the plastic), and pop it off.

They need to do a Yoko with the bearded head and red tights for a proper 1995/6 version.

Tight fit and move as they should once you’ve swapped them?

Thanks all...just want to take this opportunity to again say how much we need a Mr Fuji to go with Yoko. Would be an idea first manager UE....old head and young head. Suit and robe, hat & cane & Japan flag, salt bucket. Two figs in one, good value and budget justified.

Was this series one of those messed up WalMart series where like barely anyone found it? I’m in the U.K. and it was easy to get in a few online places, I THINK it came in a set with an X-pac which I didn’t get, possibly Mean Gene, Syxx and Warrior from Rumble 91...someone might correct me on that though.

Suit and robe, hat & cane & Japan flag, salt bucket. Two figs in one, good value and budget justified. Probably won't be seeing many managers, if any, in the UE line. I believe that Mattel has said that this line will be reserved for the top stars. I think they could accomplish your Mr. Fuji idea in the regular elite line. Mixing the suited version and the robe version may not be ideal since he was barefoot and pant less (at least what could be seen) when wearing the robe. If possible, two releases of Mr. Fuji may be ideal. The first version could be the robed version when he managed Yokozuna. One head could be the older version of Mr. Fuji, how he looked in the mid 90s, the second head could be a younger version of Mr. Fuji, how he looked in the 1970s and 1980s as a wrestler. Underneath the robe could be his wrestling tights that he wore in the 70s and 80s. For the second release, they could do the suited version, one head with the face paint he wore when he managed Demolition and the Powers of Pain, the second head could be without the face paint for when he managed the Orient Express and the Berzerker. You are correct, Mr. Fuji is definitely needed. First figure, robed version with Japan flag: older head sculpt with robe, younger head sculpt with wrestling gearSecond Figure, suited version with cane and bowler hat: head sculpt with face paint, head sculpt without face paint
