I remember back in in the day (probably 2002-2003?), I believe it was Flair who came up with the idea of a WWE Legends title, since there were legends already in the WWE and hall of famers. I was hyped up about the idea and it just never took place. The Legends Title didn't have to be a full-time championship, more of a part-time championship, maybe once a month or on PPVs etc just to make sure too much time wasn't taken away from younger talent, and with so many legends to choose from over the years I think it would've worked well. I could see Flair, Hogan, and Piper having the strap around that time. Flair being the first champ would've made sense. I also think it would've been awesome to have a one time special stipulation where a non-Legend could take the title, hence culminating in the Legend Killer Randy Orton taking the Legends title and Hogan (or someone else) taking the belt back (a nice way for Hogan's final WWE match is winning it back). What do you think?

Nah I think it was better to have the legends work for the regular titles. Instead of cornering them off on an island like they were crusiers. Especially since legends working with the younger guys was what gave the up and comers the rub.

Legends can still work with other talent to put over, it doesn't have to be a completely separate division, it was just that there was now a title they can go for too to be known as the greatest legend there is.

I'm not sure a title would have been the way to go. Perhaps a yearly 5 on 5 at Survivor Series or an alumni battle royal of sorts.

If we can get a 24/7 title we could've gotten a legends one after all Vince saw belts as props and nothing more so this at least would make Legends stand out. We've had battle royals before like the gimmick one at WM17, Survivor Series would be fun though.

I wouldn't have felt the need to see that, we were already getting a heavy dose of over the hill talent.

Not for me. By having a title, creates a division planned or otherwise. It could only ever be viewed as a secondary division and would devalue anyone associated.
To me, someone like Orton attacking the Legends champ would then be no different than him attacking the IC or CW champ and wouldn’t have the same impact as attacking a legend.

Nope, i feel like it would have made them look "old" and not equal.

Nope, i feel like it would have made them look "old" and not equal. I second this. I know they could have feuded with anyone but honestly I always felt that's what the Heavyweight belt was for. If you're competing for the World Championship Belt or whatever it's called nowadays you're at the pinnacle of the game. Story lines take time to build anyway, part-time would be kind of anti-climactic.

This wouldnt be for guys who were regulary competing like Undertaker.
Its could be for surprise combacks of sorts for much older wrestlers.
Heck Jericho fought 3 of them on in match. The legend belt wouldnt make them look less, being old already did/does.
