UE Hollywood likeness just isn’t there..

I’m okay with the UE heads, but they’re not great. As others have said, the screaming one is the best. The bandana and sunglasses hide a lot of the imperfections on all of them though. I’m still very happy with it and I have it pre-ordered.

As for the Jakks Hogan heads, I don’t like the expressions on all of them but they absolutely do a better job of capturing Hogan’s likeness than the UE ones do imo. I’m not some Jakks Classic Superstars fanboy either. I never owned any of them and I have hundreds of Mattels.

As it's been said the screaming scan is really well done. I'm a bit iffy on the others.

You have to be on some monkey-juggling crack to think that R3 scan is better than the UE versions.

Jakks headscans were legit very good. People get rilled up on the bad ones and it overshadows the great headscans. 
Mattels headscans are legit ok only 75% of the time. 25% are legit trash.  Miz, Becky, Bret Hart just to think of some are heads that mattel never ever gets right. 

Just last night i was watching WWF Smackdown from january 2000 and the Gentle Giant studios bus can be seen when DX and I think Kane were in the parking lot with the DX Express. 

I didnt realize they did the scanning for both,imo theyve gone down hill drastically, maybe a different plastic? Also the paint is way worse with mattel, seems they use as little paint as possible with them.

Yes but when I'm discussing this I'm referring to Mattel because they're the ones that gives the OK to mass produce these.

I think the headscan of Becky in that 2-pack with Seth is great. The E72 one's pretty good too.

He looks like a Disney princess with the smiling portrait.

R3 Hogan scan. I thought it was pretty good...definitely shows his age but it was a good representation of Hogan at the time. 🤷‍♂️

Jakks hogans were good but a lot of them had sculpted bandanas and that kinda sucked in my opinion
There’s a lot that Jakks did that were so much better than Mattel head scan wise but I’d pick a Mattel Body over Jakks any day!

I loved the first couple of series of BCAs in the mid/late 90s (maybe cause it was the new thing I don’t know) but after a few years I was super hyped for the new line at the time after seeing it in a toy magazine...that was the TTL...BIG DISAPPOINTMENT then the R3 Tech series had cool scans crap body’s! Then the Ruthless Aggression series came out and the first figure I got was Scott Steiner and it was cool! But then I started to notice my Undertaker had the same body as Scott Steiner lol....Let’s just say I didn’t buy many JAKKS figures after 2002 or so.

Have 100+ Mattel Legends/Classic Superstars though
