So it looks like popfindr isn’t working anymore for individual sets and more just for single items bc it’s not working for me or anyone I’ve asked now. Maybe it’s maintenance but I can look up a single figure and no longer the full series

Worked for me, I think the Ps5 release messed it up for all of us bc it was such a wide spread of what it was so they caught in finally |

I wouldn't care if Popfindr and Brickseek ceased to exist. I did use it a few times but it takes all the fun out of the hunt. Makes it way to easy for scalpers.

I wouldn't care if Popfindr and Brickseek ceased to exist. I did use it a few times but it takes all the fun out of the hunt. Makes it way to easy for scalpers. Nothing like driving across hell’s half acre and coming up empty. And wasting gas |

I think customers being jerk to employees was a huge factor in this happening, a couple jerks ruin it for everyone else as always.

Inventory numbers can be off or they can't or won't find the case in the back. I'm not saying it's not useful it's just not for me. |

Oh I've definitely asked an employee if they could just check if they had anything more. If they say no it was thank you and on my way. There were people though who would be much more aggressive in this search. |

Popfindr was the only way I was able to track down figures at Target for me it was always right on the money with stock count and my Targets usually get 1 case of something and thats it they never restock it so if you don't get something when it hits you don't get it at all. My area isn't very collector friendly. For Walmart exclusives I always relied on ebay scalpers because they just flat out don't stock elites at all. Now looks like Target exclusives are going to be ebay scalper exclusives too. Looks like its time for a new hobby.

The hunt was fun when everything wasn’t horrible like distribution, scalpers, resellers, and everything. I remember the old days. I was an ‘81 baby. I remember through Jakks and toy biz ML being able to find in stores. But after that things got bad. Pop finder is a necessary evil for those, I’ve stopped “hunting” altogether and just preorder things. I know in my area with the absolute crapthat is distribution, it’s the only way. |
