The Jeremy hate is ridiculous. He's got plenty on his plate so when he takes the time to address some issues it's great. Launching an entirely new toy line/collection in the midst of a global pandemic to ONE store chain was going to be problematic. Obviously none of us thought it would be this bad but life happens. I doubt Jeremy is sitting at his house enjoying this, he's a collector like us. Relax. New factory coming, more retailers coming, more supply coming.
Read my original post. I didn't say I hate Jeremy -- I don't even collect the figures.
But he promised transparency and interaction, and he hasn't done it recently. That's not "hate" -- it's just the truth. There's nothing with not doing it -- but then he shouldn't have promised it, and should say he's not going to be commenting

Jeremy is active! Follow him on social media, where you can learn about all the figures we will never find at retail!
Read my original post man -- here's what I said. That's true. That's not "active" -- since he's also stopped responding to anything on Twitter about wrestling figures
I think in the past 2-3 months, he's done one Twitch thing with Major Brothers and that's it. Hope he sees this and reconsiders for the fans out there (even understanding some of them are obnoxious - many are not...)
That’s just not factual. He did two interviews with MWF and a YouTuber on the line, a IG live q&a, an interview with Sammy, and gave a detailed breakdown of shipping timelines and changes on Twitter since the beginning of November. What would have changed since then that you expect him to share?

Look man, I'm not interested in getting into a fight. If you think someone who promised constant communication has not communicated -- as you've acknowledged, since the beginning of November given all the chaos in the line, we have different definition of transparency and communication. AFA didn't make those promises, and I can't remember him going radio silent for 6 weeks at a time -- especially during a period of chaos with his figure line

It's the internet, sometimes the meaning of words can get lost in translation -- I was joking. I've never been given a second thought to the lack, or abundance, of Jeremy's wrestling figure posts and activity. I follow him because he's a multi multi millionaire working in an industry that I'm at least adjacent to, and I can learn a thing or two

It's just not a business where there's new information to share all that frequently.

Buying figures is basically the same as buying shares of stock, right? I mean, I'm basically a shareholder, when you think about it. Doesn't Jeremy owe me?

Then he finally came back last year (?) only to be ticked off again prior to either SDCC or Ringfest(?) I forget what set him off the second time, but I think it was leaked photos that were actually gotten off of Amazon.

Not only was it the leaks, but he implicated WF mods in being complicit and participating in the spread of them. To paraphrase his last post before taking a victory lap for UE Charlotte: "This is why I don't post here anymore, moderators allowing leaked/stolen information." Then several threads were taken down shortly thereafter. If I recall, the rumored Attitude Era Kurt Angle, maybe some others that revealed some Fan Central figs (?). I know Chicago just stopped posting his findings too.

I know Chicago just stopped posting his findings too. I remember one was “A Best of Attitude“ figure that the picture was taken from Amazon‘s website. It was listed on Amazon for preorder with the pic and Chicago (?) posted that, but Bill should have taken offense with Amazon for posting the pic too soon. The other stuff that happened he had every right to be upset about. But that best of figure wasn’t Chicago’s fault it was on Amazon.

I forget what set him off the second time, but I think it was leaked photos that were actually gotten off of Amazon. Bill was pretty engaging in terms of soliciting feedback on attires (Luger and Sherri come to mind) and giving insight after figures were released. But from what I remember, Mattel has always been pretty cagey about "we can't reveal who's available," "you'll have to wait and see" type answers at least since very early in the line. I've always assumed that is coming from corporate higher ups, so it is what it is. The initial situation with Bill where people (or at least one person) called his work lazy was totally out of line. I think the second time was around placeholder lineups from Brickseek/Popfindr being posted and then the Amazon Best of Attitude Era pics were the straw that broke the camel's back. That seemed a little weird, since that was info that Mattel freely gave out to retailers, but it's water under the bridge. I just think we need to be realistic in terms of what kind of info is/isn't reasonable to expect from a toy company. And I think we as collectors are always going to wish they would share more than they're able to for various business reasons.

At least we still have Steve from AFA Steve has been more than generous with his time here, and I've really enjoyed the product unboxing/q&a IG live streams he has done. It's been a nice distraction during the pandemic. But still a lot of his answers are "we'll make them if they're under a deal" or "you'll have to wait and see on X's attire." That's no knock on him - we all (almost all?) have bosses to answer to who set the ground rules. I just think it's really easy for collectors to want/expect a level of information that most companies either just aren't willing or able to give out. It's very much "give 'em an inch and they'll want a mile" type of situation, imo.

Oh yeah he never revealed upcoming figures because they sign a confidentiality contract and could lose their jobs. Remember that sculptor who posted pics of the sculpts of WWE, DCUC & JL figures she had worked on? She got in trouble for posting pics of her sculpts of figures that were already released. And she was forced to remove them from here.

The difference between Steve and Bill is that Steve was one of us before he started working at Mattel, so he understands that while we can get pushy and annoying the majority of us mean well. He’s been more than generous answering stuff.
Also Steve doesn’t get upsetti spaghetti at people finding information that the retailers leaked to us lmao, Bill leaving because of that was ridiculous and not cool to Chicago.
When I found his Charlotte UE post I legit laughed my ass off. I hope Bill is doing well tho.
Also I still remember who started the E39 Sting thread and I won’t forgive you because that was ridiculous “criticism” that rocked the boat for no reason.
Basically what I’m saying is I liked Bill but also meh.

Also I still remember who started the E39 Sting thread and I won’t forgive you because that was ridiculous “criticism” that rocked the boat for no reason. The ironic part was that person ended up buying the figure and posted about it but whenever anyone has called him out on it, he ignored them. As far as I remember, he never acknowledged he's the reason Bill initially left and never apologized for what ended up being an ignorant comment over a bad image.
