I’m not talking about his 2006 run, I’m talking about when he showed up on a ECW event in the mid 90’s (96?) Does anyone what the plan was if they had gotten him to sign on? Was it even in the cards for him to sign with ECW? If it even was, do you think he would’ve stayed long in the company? Think he could’ve been a champion?

He only made that appearance as a favor for a Pittsburgh friend who also knew Shane Douglas. Angle has said that he only became interested in getting into pro wrestling after turning on Raw in summer 1998 and getting hooked right away (good thing he wasnt watching 2 years earlier when Alex the Pug was wrestling).

He would have been fed to the 4'9" suplex machine known as Taz.

Angle shot an angle with Taz so there was going to be something. That was the night Raven crucified Sandman and Angle "quit" and threatened to sue Paul Heyman if the video of him being there ever appeared anywhere.
Haha. Those were wild times.

Definitely would have been a sh*t kicking shooter. But in that sense he would've been similar to Taz. Such a comparison was quickly lost once both were in the fed. Angle was a comedic olympic hero intially and later a killer. While Taz was a bad motherf'er for one night before becoming a dwarf and then later a fat little obnoxios color commentator & not even a good one.

Yeah other than a feud with Taz, I cant see em doing much. What about a feud with Shane Douglas? That to me would be better.

He wouldn't have been a good fit for ECW's style
