TONIGHT ON DYNAMITE! Our AEW World Champion returns to in-ring action, the Inner Circle looks to prove its commitment to the cause in a 7-on-7 throwdown, the Dark Order continues its quest to befriend the Hangman, and Sting returns to Daily's Place (or has he ever left?) A holiday wrestle-festivus for the rest of us!
Fresh after his successful defense of his AAA Mega Championship and being booked for Impact Wrestling's Hard to Kill PPV, taking place on January 16, Kenny Omega graces the AEW crowd in a battle against Joey Janela. If "The Bad Boy" can earn a win within his comfort zone of "anything goes" rules , he can earn himself a future World Title opportunity. But with the shift in the champ's personality as of late, shenanigans cannot be ruled out. Perhaps by some of his old allies performing under the Impact banner...
Last week Chris Jericho sought to get his group back on track for global dominance. While tensions didn't completely subside, the Inner Circle remains intact for now and gets the opportunity to vent some of their frustrations on some spot monkeys. Trustfalls are sure to be aplenty, so hold onto your cowboy hats and keep that BBQ sauce handy because the biz is about to pick up! Dark Order's Recruitment Specialists are hungry for a successful outing, and the downtrodden Adam Page seems ripe for the picking. A 6-man outing against Matt Hardy and Private Party could perhaps cement the bond and convince the Hangman to mosey on over to the Greater Good.
AEW Dark standouts make their TV debut against former AEW Tag Team Champs, the NWA Women's Champion competes in tag action, Cody Rhodes takes on a Hybrid 1, and Eddie Kingston unleashes pipebombs on fools, all live on Dynamite!
"Anything Goes" No DQ Match
Kenny Omega vs. Joey Janela
14-Man Tag Match
Inner Circle vs. Best Friends, Top Flight, Varsity Blondes, and Brandon Cutler
Hangman Page, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds vs. Matt Hardy and Private Party
SCU's Daniels & Kazarian vs. The Acclaimed
