17 matches 6-11
Wrestlemania 5 The Twin Towers defeat The Rockers Wrestlemania 6 The Orient Express defeat The Rockers
Wrestlemania 7 The Rockers defeat The Barbarian and Haku (wrong decision in my opinion) Wrestlemania 8 Shawn Michaels defeats Tito Santana Wrestlemania 9 Tatanka defeats Shawn Michaels Mania 10--Loses to Razor Ramon Mania 11-Loses to Diesel Mania 12- Beats Bret Hart Mania 14- Loses to Austin Mania 19- Beats Jericho Mania 20-Loses to Benoit Mania 21- Loses to Angle Mania 22- Beats Vince Mania 23- Loses to Cena Mania 24- Defeats Flair Mania 25- Loses to Taker Mania 26- Loses to Taker
For a guy who is knows as Mr Wrestlemania his record isn't that good, yes I know its more for his quality of matches but this is still surprising
When he came back from his retirement he only went 3-5. He didnt really need the wins but still surprising

Yeah, that is surprising but, that seems to be the way of the guys who are known for being great workers, it's their job to put over the other guy. Savage, who was probably the best WM performer before HBK, was 4-4 at the event, and 3 of his 4 best match performances at WM were losses; vs Steamboat, Hogan, and Warrior.

He may have lost more than he won, but the quality of the matches is why he got the nickname and rightfully so.

It's even more surprising when you consider this is the same guy who absolutely hated doing jobs.

It use to stress me out as a kid. lol.
I use to keep count; but Shawn's Mania matches always delivered. Especially the 00's.
Where we got Jericho, The Best Triple Threat, Angle, Fun match with Vince, Cena, Flair, and Taker matches. Shawn knocked it out of the park; and I loved those mid/late 00 Manias with Shawn and Taker.

The Bushwhackers actually have a better PPV record than The Rockers...I thought I read somewhere that The Rockers first PPV victory was at WM7? That cant be right though?

They technically got wins at SSeries 88 and 89 by being on the winning side even though they were eliminated. But yeah their first real PPV win though was at Rumble 91 over the Orient Express.

Looks that way, not counting the survivor series matches that they were eliminated in - even if their team won - the Rockers were 2 - 4, and the Bushwackers were 4 and 3. Rockers: WM5 - Lost to Twin Towers SSL89 - lost to Fabulous Rougeau's and Martel WM6 - Lost to the Orient Express SSL90 - Lost to Power and Glory RR91 - Beat the Orient Express WM7 - Beat the Barbarian & Haku Bushwackers: WM5 - Beat the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers SSL91 - Lost to the Natural Disasters RR92 - Lost to the Beverly Brothers WM8 - Beat the Beverly Brothers (Dark Match) SSL92 - Beat the Mountie and the Nasty Boys Survivor Series 93 - Were Survivors on their team WM10 - Lost to the Heavenly Bodies (Dark Match)

It may be a hot take but giving him the nickname "Mr. Wrestlemania" is purely opinion based as most of his matches werent even the best matches on the card, and his record obviously speaks for itself. So there's really no reason for him to have that name other then the fact they needed to just give him one.

Hogan and Bret will always be 1A and 1B Mr. Wrestlemania to me. Less matches but the memorable moments we got were great that are still talked about today. Shawn has had some great matches at WM but I don’t think we got as many memorable moments as we did with Hulk and Bret.
