The WWF could have potentially gotten off with one of the feuds but not both at the same time. Warrior v Barbarian at SSlam 90, with Hogan v Earthquake pushed to the main event of the card may have worked (although that would have been at the expense of Rude). Heenan already had history with the Warrior, so his new charge going after the big belt wouldn’t have been a stretch. Alternatively, have the Barbarian as an enforcer type for the Heenan family and could have been next in line, after Rude. I could see Barb vs Warrior for the belt at that SNME during the Fall. They can play it up as Bobby's desperation to get the top gold in his family. Yeah totally agree. A lot of logic in keeping Heenan in hot pursuit of the prize. Plus Bobby and his charges seemed to get the best out of the Warrior.

Does this count? Am I the only one who thinks The Barbarian was better used in WCW than he was in the WWF? He got a bigger singles push in 1992 than he did in the WWF after the POP broke up and he was great as part of the Faces of Fear with Meng.

I agree. When he came back to WCW during the Summer of 92 he got a strong push. He got World Title matches against Simmons and Vader. And yeah the Faces of Fear tag team was bada$$. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed his solo WWF run but yeah his WCW run definitely had more behind it so to speak.

I'd imagine it had more to do with not wanting to compete with the legacy of LOD and Demolition. i believe he was talking about them after the powers of pain broke up!

POP split in March of '90, Quake was just coming into his own by then and was a much better talker and honestly worker than both Warlord & Barbarian. Putting him in one of those spots was really a no brainer. Having to fill the void of working with Warrior, he wasnt the most polished wrestler so Vince likely wanted someone that could work & bump with Warrior and a match between Warrior/Warlord and/or Warrior/Barbarian would have stunk up the joint. Putting Rude in there helped carry Warrior and get him over more.
Essentially it was just bad timing for both of them, they didnt "fit" the voids that were left.
