So I’ve never really gotten into collecting Transformer toys but bought my first yesterday (Siege Megatron) and love it. Anyone got any tips for collecting Transformers? Planning to get a few more but would like them to be in scale with each other as close as possible and I have no clue what the scales are for this franchise or how to mix and match different lines.

I really think the Siege versions are the best versions of each character, not counting the high priced Masterpiece line. If you stick with Siege, all your figures will be in a consistent scale, which is an emphasis Hasbro placed on this line. Starting in Feb/March, the line shifts to Earthrise where the vehicle modes will be Earth based.

The Earthrise Prime is one of my favorite Transformers ever. |

picked up DoubleDealer today and Sky Lynx,Con Mirage(great figure)& Scrapface last saturday.
Updated my Autobot 86 Movie season 3 shelf with Sky Lynx and it looks great now. I will do my 87/88 Autobot shelf with DD tomorrow.
Will be picking up Scorponok this Weekend....then its waiting for Snapdragon & Quintesson to drop.

Anyone here know of a good Optimus prime as far as height say compared to the 7 inch figs (gi Joe, marvel etc) like that towers over them..

The 20th anniversary edition (1st masterpiece?) would be perfect but its cost might be a bit much. MP10 is a bit smaller but still pretty tall. Power of the Primes evolution Optimus stands pretty tall too |

I can't believe how expensive the Transformers Masterpiece Starscream and MPM-11 Autobot are. I bet they're nice but I can't justify $129.99 and $119.99.

Hey guys, need some help. I found this 12” figure at Walgreens. Does anyone know if they make Soundwave in these? My son is 4 and all of a sudden likes Soundwave from this comic he has where Bumblebee and Soundwave fight. I’ve been trying to find him one for Xmas. This style would be perfect for him. The next best thing I’ve found is like a 3-step 7” version on eBay. Any help would be great. Thanks!  |

Found the Transformers/Ghostbusters Ecto-1 crossover at Target yesterday. Looked really awesome until I found out it was $60. Yeah, thanks but no thanks. It's nice but not that nice. What the hell are they thinking?

I picked up Jazz, Blurr, Scourge, and Hot Rod from the Transfomers '86 movie from Target over the weekend. I loved that movie as a kid, so these were major nostalgia purchases for me.

So I picked up the Kingdom Megatron from Gamestop and it's awesome. I loved Beast Wars. I have Optimus Primal on preorder. I also put in preorders for Voyager Dinobot, Deluxe Air Razor, Leader Grimlock and I found Kingdom Leader Class Optimus Prime at Target. Grabbed him up. Apparently he is a repack of the Earthrise Optimus. I'm getting addicted again.

I've dabbled in Transformers throughout the years, but ultimately sell them off. It's a pretty expensive toy line to collection. Love the Animated toys and the Alternators. But I think I need something in the 5-6" scale to match my other collections. I thought Transformers RED was the line for me but the quality is so cheap. Then I just saw this bootleg line Jinbao - and it looks pretty cool, 5", cartoon-accurate and they transform. Anyone owns this line and think it's worth it?
