So Wikipedia says that Punk was still leader of The New Nexus going into Money in the Bank 2011, and that the stable disbanded at the end of the night. Does that sound right? After he cut the Pipe Bomb promo I remember the focus being totally off TNN, and don’t remember any appearances or matches from them after that night in Vegas (if they were even present as a stable on that night in Vegas). I don’t remember any TNN merchandise worn by Punk, armbands worn by Punk, or mentions of the stable by Punk between the Pipe Bomb RAW and MITB ‘11. Anyone have any info or input on this?

This should be in the Classic Wrestling board and I thought the stable had fizzled out months before his pipe bomb promo.

First mistake is fully trusting Wikipedia.
Last I remember of New Nexus was before Punks pipe bomb, after that I don’t think they ever were mentioned together again. Nexus was beyond pointless at that point anyways. The storyline of Lawler calling Otunga and McGillicutty boring as tag champs on live TV was basically art imitating real life at that point.

I am pretty the Nexus had the same death like the Corporate Ministry. Where we just mutually stop talking about them.
Axle and Outanga I think still used the mantle of the remains of the Nexus tag team until they dropped the belts to the New Day. Punk pretty much stopped associating with the Nexus; after the Pipe Bomb I am pretty sure.
The Nexus is such a interesting storyline to look back on; not only that's it's been 10 years. Just the fact of a hostile rookie takeover; was such a cool idea. It's also interesting to see where each man's career went. They shot that angle in the knee caps so early. I remember being mad with SVR 2011; as all the characters were DLC's. And by WWE 12's; The Nexus was no longer a thing. I think even more so; by the end of 2011 it was so forgotten and seemed so distant of a memory.

I thought it was done a few weeks before the pipe bomb? I remember when Punk dropped the PB he was wearing an Austin shirt and I thought that was strange...

Punk still wore the New Nexus gear on Raw between the pipe bomb and Money in the Bank - look up the videos of his contract negotiations, calling Cena the Yankees etc.
He also was in New Nexus gear on house shows in that time, like in the video where he was caught using homophobic slurs.
