for sure! andre, warrior, & mr perfect woulda been awesome in this rumble! and LOD & natural disasters as well. put those 7 in and take out skinner, mustafa, snuka, saggs, volkoff, repo, virgil But if you take Virgil out, you lose the classic how many bags has he been through in the back? Line from Heenan on commentary!

And in years to come, imagine the streak starting with a victory over one of the biggest legends ever in the sport. The streak did start with a victory over one of the biggest legends ever in the sport.

I would have loved to see him in the 1992 Royal Rumble. Have him come back for one last shot at the WWF Title. He could stand in the corner and just chop and punch. Maybe toss a Virgil or Skinner out and then ultimately get tossed by someone like Undertaker or Sid....Get a standing ovation as he waves to the crowd and walks to the back. As great at the '92 Rumble was, and I personally believe it was the greatest of all time, I do wish they would have replaces some of the tag team guys/lower mid card with bigger names even if it was one offs like Andre The Giant or Ultimate Warrior. Picture that Flair spot when he's alone in the ring and instead of Piper out comes Andre. Just imagine Bobby's reaction on commentary. Not sure if I could take that Flair-Piper part out because of the feud they were in. Maybe move it up to where Davey Boy is #1 and Flair is #2, Flair eliminates Davey Boy and them Piper comes out at #3. Then you can bring out Sags, Haku, HBK etc...Then at 15 bring Andre out. I may be alone in this but I dont really feel like an Andre-Taker encounter would have meant much back then as Taker, even though just months off a title win, really wasnt that big of a name at the time and was essentially just used as a transitional champion.

Would have loved to see Andre and Taker in the ring together! I think the only time they were together on WWF TV was in an interview with Sean Mooney.

The streak did start with a victory over one of the biggest legends ever in the sport. But not literally... Would have loved to see Andre and Taker in the ring together! The streak did start with a victory over one of the biggest legends ever in the sport. I get that Superfly was huge in the early 80’s but his legacy hasn’t held up the same way Andre’s has. I was thinking about this last night. Snuka's losing in 1990 and 1991 was much different than Andre's losing in seconds to Warrior in 1989. Snuka was seen as a jobber losing to anyone who wasn't a real name, black trunks jobber but Andre was seen as being to the point where he couldn't do much in a singles match so was doing the job for Warrior who was slated to be the next big thing. Another thing is, would Snuka's legacy be better if he hadn't come back in 1989 and come back whenever WWF wanted to do a tribute to him? I mean, the fact that he kept coming back and also did his book in 2012 or 2013 brought unneeded attention to the death of Nancy Argentino. The case was brought up around the time he was leaving WWF in 1992 and then got to the point of no return for him when it was announced his book would come out. I'm sure wrestling was really all Snuka knew but if he had stayed gone from wrestling after 1985 or maybe did a brief AWA run at most, would Nancy's death be as well known as it is now. I guess with the internet it would come out but in 1992 it was probably only well known to people in a certain area. It wasn't just Snuka's 1990s jobbing that hurt his legacy it was the returns and tributes by WWE along with the book release.
