I recently ordered a Kellytoy Luigi plush from eBay, but it’s preowned. I tend to not purchase preowned plush toys unless it’s the only option, and that was the case here. Usually I would just spray them with Febreeze fabric spray once I obtain it, but I was wondering if there’s any other methods out there that are safe yet also efficient. I’m just being extra cautious now because of the obvious (the pandemic), and also because this particular plush has overlays for it’s eyes, hat emblem, etc. and I don’t want to damage them.
Any recommendations are appreciated!

Maybe take it to a dry cleaner & ask if they can do it?

I know whenever our daughter was sick as a child we would stick her stuffed dog in the freezer for 24 hours to kill the germs. But for washing one. I am not sure of the safest way.

I put my niece's Rolly plush from 101 Dalmatians in the washing machine a few times. It came out fine
