2021 What Did You Buy and Talk

I typically don't use crossborders for Amazon because I usually pay less ordering directly from Amazon. It's useful for Target, Walmart and ringside.

I think stores inside malls are close unless they have their own entrance outside the mall.

Happy fig hunt day to everyone but especially my fellow Ontarians. It’s been months since we could hit the stores so I hope everyone has the chance to get out and find something special!

I’m heading to TRU myself to hopefully pick up the legends 9 line and who knows what else.

I see the Colonel Mustafa collectors edition is on the TRU website (stocked out of course) so maybe a few of us will really get lucky and spot him.

I won't be hitting any stores but had some nice deliveries lately.

In small town Nova Scotia we had very few cases for 2020. Not many places closed and the lockdown helped keep any spread from coming in. Schools and offices closed while people worked from home, but the mall and Walmart stayed fully open with social distancing, mandatory masks and certain capacity limits as a precaution.

Fast forward to the second wave in March 2021 and we have cases popping up out the wazoo. I was sent to work from home around the middle of April and have been ever since. At this point the mall is closed and other smaller stores. Strict capacity limits and they had signs at Walmart in the non essential departments that read "we encourage you to only buy essential items. These items can be found at Walmart . Ca" but nobody policed or enforced the buying or not buying of non essential items. The areas were still stocked and items were still being put on sale.

Now everything is slowly opening back up. Annoying though that schools re-opened very late. My wife teaches high school and despite the province announcing in early May that schools would not re-open, they went back on that in early June. But for high school like my wife teaches, it works out so that the kids are back for only 8 days. This after the faculty all planned out the rest of the year and exams for online all of May.

Back in March my Walmart got a buttload of E84 in. The shelf kept clearing out Ripley, Vega, Murphy and Garza, but the pile of Hardy, Reigns and Sheamus kept growing and growing. They're all gone now when it looked like they'd hang around forever. No new stock since mid-May-ish other than 2-packs and Wrekkin figure.

Hit another TRU and found a single legends 9 Undertaker which I picked up.

Elite 84 for days. If you need elite 84 apparently Ottawa is the place to be.

Interesting find was the Triple H/Jeff Hardy elite 2 pack. Had en entire case on the shelf for $59.99.

Went to TRU today and found one Volkoff left...The only figure I needed from that set. Looks great!

Opened the Volkoff and there was a big glob of red paint on the inside of his hat, which had rubbed off onto his head. I was able to get most of it off, but a bit of his hair went with it. God I hate Mattel's lack of quality control...

LOL grabbed me a second Lady Jay G.I. Joe Classified and LoP Mer Man and Fisto - sold off my previous MOTU Origins, might just keep these MOC
