Favorite(s) 1) Funko Pops: Still love them as much as ever even though I'm much more selective in my purchases now than I used to be. 2) MOTU Origins: They make me feel like a kid again, and I heart that (even though everything outside of the first wave has been a pain in the ass to find.) 3) GI Joe Classified: I hugging hate how tough this line has been to collect, but it's almost everything I want out of a six inch Joe line. 4) NECA TMNT: The toon and movie figures have been hammering my nostalgia button like MOTU Origins, but like that line and Classified, I'm a bit tired of the hoops I've had to jump through to collect them. 5) Super 7 ReActions: We've gotten a bunch of really neat figures this year, and I'm just as excited about these as I am every year.
Least Favorite(s) 1) Godzilla vs. Kong: I'm beyond irritated that NECA was hamstrung into releasing dozens of slightly different Godzilla and Mothra figures over and over again, and now they're done and all we'll be getting at US retail is these craptastic and utterly forgettable things. 2) AEW Unrivaled: It's ridiculous that I have only seen ONE Jericho figure and ONE Omega figure (that's literally it without exaggeration) since the summer. I have seen nothing but rings, belts, and empty pegs everywhere I go. 3) McF DC: Do I hate the figures? No, I think a lot of them are great looking, but as much as I love Batman, it's crazy that out of almost 60 figures and vehicles released so far, only about 10 of them have nothing to do with Batman or a Batman storyline. We need more choices. I'm not asking for Wild Dog or the Inferior Five, but I feel like we're going to wind up getting Onomatopoeia or Polka-Dot Man sooner or later JUST because they're Batman villains.

Don't get me started on those. I just wish we could get a proper 1962 King Kong figure. Bandai made one in Japan in the early 90s but it's expensive as hell.

The first wave in stores around me is worse than the Ghostbusters Plasma when it comes to warming the pegs. They were well stocked before Christmas and are even more well stocked now. One of the only toys in that section that is overstocked. I didn't even know wave 2 was out yet.

All former Power Rangers, especially the MMPR cast, make their living off Ranger and Comic Cons now, LOL. That Red Ranger guy disappeared for like 10 years and reappeared when he was told how big MMPR nostalgia had become. At the time I met him, I think he was working as an EMT in Houston. I later walked past his table at NYCC a couple years later and overheard him talking to a fan about how he went back to school after Power Rangers and got a few degrees and maybe his Master’s. I wasn’t fully paying attention. The Green Ranger has to be the most active at conventions by far. I think I’ve seen him at every convention I’ve ever been to. I've heard more than once that the Green Ranger isn't very nice to people, but before I heard that my impression was that he's good to the fans. So I don't know what to think about that. haha

At one con, we happened to be staying at the same hotel. The first night, I was going upstairs and I looked down and thought “Is the Green Power Ranger doing magic tricks for people in the lobby?” Another time at NYCC, he was walking toward his booth coming back from a break. A bunch of people ran up to him and started asking him for pictures and autographs. He bluntly told them “Guys, there’s a line. You gotta wait like everyone else.”

The line thing should be obvious to convention attendees. There's an etiquette, even if it is a convention. Bad form on people who do that. Speaking of conventions, the guy who played Malcolm Merlin on Arrow walked up to me and my brother and his wife at a con one year. He asked where they got their t-shirts (Superman and Batman shirts with capes on them). I was pretty sure it was him, but I didn't say anything. Etiquette and all that. Afterward I wondered if maybe he wanted to be recognized and I disrespected him. haha Nice guy, though.

Don't really have a favorite but I have to agree that McFarlane with DC has been a huge disappointment. Some of the figures look nice though.

That guy is way too nice to make money at cons. First time I met him, my brother and I were standing on a line and my brother had dressed up as Dr Strange. Ming was walking by, and he just stopped and started having a conversation with us. The next time I saw he had a table at a con I figured I wanted to go support him since he was so nice the first time. He had people, but his line was kind of empty. Like people would come up, he’d chat with them for a few minutes, they’d leave, and he’d wait for someone else to come by. I could see his prices from pretty far away. He was charging like $10 for an autograph or photo, and like $20 for autograph authentication. I planned to just go up and get a photo and say hi. Problem was he was standing at least 5 feet in front of his table, so I never actually got to the person taking the money before he started talking to me. We talked for like 10 minutes before I had to be like “It’s awesome talking to you, but I have to go meet up with someone.” I had also just gotten an autograph from David Prowse and was still holding it while we were talking. Ming was like “I see you met David Prowse. That’s awesome. I love how he always writes I Am Darth Vader on his autographs.” He basically authenticated the autograph for free without me even asking. He’s honestly like more of a fan than a guest.

I don't go for autographs or pictures, but it's always nice to talk to the ones who are willing to talk.

Jason David Frank is world class. One of the nicest guys I’ve ever met at cons and I do (did) a lot of cons. I met him and Amy Jo Johnson together and he was even pushing her to be more talkative to fans. He takes a ton of time with you if you initiate him. He also goes the extra mile with asking how you want merch signed and photo poses. Yes, he’s a circuit pro, but he’s one of the absolute best imo.
Green/White Tommy was my favorite Ranger as a kid, but I legitimately didn’t understand his fanfare until I met him. It sent me down the rabbit hole of rewatching the first three seasons, got me to go back and buy some of the vintage figures, and really got me super excited for the Hasbro line.

Now I wish I'd bought the White and Green Ranger figs I saw at Target.
