I keep hearing about the Rock And Roll Express being part of this line, but I’ve not seen anything “official”. Is there a tease or hint somewhere that I’ve missed? I’d love for them to be a part of this line. 👍

Matt Cardona has since confirmed in this thread that they are coming as a two-pack, but we’ve not heard it officially from Zombie yet as far as I remember.

I’ve kind of been out of the loop for some time and have just started to visit this forum again after bouncing in and out for a few years. 👍

Dino Bravo ---RNR Express--- Earl Hebner Bruiser Brody Sabu Matt Cardona Brian Myers Kevin Sullivan (in that form) Smart Mark Danhausen
If availability for the UK goes ahead I'd at least pick up everyone from Sabu up, if priced well I'd pick up everyone from Sullivan up.

Wait: was it confirmed that Mark is getting one? Yes; Zombie posted his design quite early on, he’s got the Macho Man 1 elbow smash-type pose.

Hi everyone, Zombie Sailor here, Just wanted to chime in as there seems to be many people here in this message forum that don’t know the process of making action figures and the cost associated with manufacturing them (something new to me as well) The price to make each figure is far more than you could ever possibly imagine: For starters, JUST to make the steel master molds in the factory, EACH mold is between $8-9k. We are using high quality artists in the toy industry to hand sculpt each figure, that is several thousand dollars per figure. To get the initial resin prototypes cast, then painted are several thousand per character If a character has a soft goods coat or something, that’s $1000 to make a few copies plus the pattern copy for the factory to replicate Fees paid to the designer/blueprint layouts which is to Ron Rudat, who happens to be the man responsible for the overwhelming majority of all the WWF Hasbros figures look...coming out of toy designing retirement to continue the Hasbro legacy...Ron is paid very well and deserves every penny Graphic Design for ads, package design, safety testing, shipping containers from overseas to us here in the U.S., import fees, lawyers, etc. several thousand Then, the factory still has to charge us per piece whatever it is they charge us... Finally, royalties are paid out to every wrestler to give you officially licensed merchandise. The talent are getting paid a nice flat fee and a percentage of each figure sold, much more than the WWE would pay out for mass market releases and a much more hands on approach for talent to decide how they want their figure to look. Mattel for example, it might cost them $25k to make a steel master mold for an elite....but that’s being spread out over what, 30-50k figures made ? That cost becomes pennies per figure, though our molds cost less to make compared to a said elite figure, we are probably only making 1-2,000 of each character which factors into the cost per unit. These will definitely be on par with the best retail figures available and in most cases, way better...but these are being made(as of right now) in small batches, something unheard of to make this sort of investment with so few units being made. So we have a high cost to make each figure, then, we would like to make a little bit of profit afterall. The costs are huge, the risk is high, but no one else was doing it...or doing it good for that matter, so here we are. The Brian Myers Figure looks insane and is just about finished, series 1’s lineup has internally been made official with names not even shown yet and already sculpted. Nearly 20 names already signed, and I cannot stress enough...Dino Bravo’s FIRST figure. It’s going to be a fun ride. If you want mainstream figures of “main event” guys, there’s a Target 10 minutes down the road. If you want retro style figures done better than anyone with crazy attention to detail based on the majority of wrestlers who weren’t given their due, who might have very little merchandise out there or haven’t had merch in decades - then Zombie Sailor has got you covered. I appreciate the interest from everyone, thank you anyone who will support this line and I hope this helps clarify as to why these figures won’t be 10 bucks each. Just to chime in on the softgoods topic...being a Hasbro kid and seeing a couple similar comments in the thread, maybe people in general would prefer hard molded attire over soft goods anyway? If it costs extra for the soft goods and all. Growing up with LOD with shoulder pads, Macho Man in entrance gear and many many more, it's sorta a trademark of this figure style. 2ndly, I know you said someplace in the thread that at least 20 people are signed atm, without giving away names and spoiling anything, could you at least tell us, if we should expect anyone else that's a dead fit to the Hasbro timeline like Bravo? I.E. WWF talent and look from say 87-96? Just my 2 cents, I do appreciate all the breakdown and inside look into this process. Really looking forward to these!

Im curious to hear/see how everyone else would rank the lineup thus far from most excited to least excited. You don’t have to be buying them to play along! For me it would be: Dino Bravo Sabu Earl Hebner Danhausen Brian Myers Bruiser Brody Matt Cardona Kevin Sullivan (in that form) Dino Bravo Cardona Myers RNREX Hebner Sabu Brody Smart Mark Sullivan Danhausen

Just for fun from an old-school guy:
Level 1: "I'd buy if I still collected heavily" Dino Bravo Earl Hebner Kevin Sullivan (I think this form is great; surprised I seem to be in the minority) Bruiser Brody (only rated this low because I never saw him wrestle in his day; though I've always known of him. Historically speaking I'd have to rank him in the top 2 at worst)
Level 2: "pass" Sabu - never cared for him Matt Cardona (I only collect old school, but he's cool. I'd probably get him before Sabu anyway) Brian Myers (only know him from the sporadic figure pods I've caught) Danhausen (never heard of him - another pod guy, I guess?)

Never heard of Danhausen and Sterling. Are they actually Wrestlers or some guys that run a podcast? Sorry for the dumb question but I really don’t get it.

Sterling is essentially in this because he's one of the podcast guys, but he has wrestled for a very long time. Danhausen is a very popular independent wrestler, who is now signed to Ring of Honor.

A couple more I thought of to add to a wishlist of possilities.
"John Tenta" in light blue singlet, would be perfect next to bravo. Genius/Lanny Poffy, guessing WWE owns the Genius gimmick, but in ring gear he was pretty generic, would think it could be made.

Does WWE own the rights to the Renegeade gimmick? With the recent reveal of the proto Renegeade it made me want a figure of that.

Gimme anything from mid 90's WCW and I'll be pretty happy. Bascically anyone that had or was supposed to have an LJN style fig, and get Arn in there too for goodness sake, don't know what they were thinking back then not having him in that line.

I'm excited to see which managers Zombie is going to be able bring into the line. They are an obvious miss from the Hasbro line so I'm certain they are high on his list of targets.
We know that WWE and Mattel have the rights to:
-Bobby Heenan -Paul Heyman -Miss Elizabeth -Paul Ellering -Classy Freddie Blassie -Harley Race (though he's well overdue a second Mattel figure so maybe he's not available anymore?) -Maybe still Sensational Sherri -Maybe still Jimmy Hart -Probably Harvey Whippleman -Probably Paul Bearer
But we could potentially still get:
-Luna -Jim Cornette -Mr Fuji -Sunny -Sable -Slick -Bill Alfonso -Francine -Beulah -Eric Bischoff
What about Afa? Or Captain Lou Albano? You'd think they'd be tight with WWE but do they have Legend deals?
Zombie could potentially mix-in a manager in each series without overdosing on non-wrestlers, but the list is quite long when you start to think about it 😄

Big Bully Busick would be one of my most wanted not because he was such an influential character but only because he could have been such a great Hasbro figure. The character would have been a perfect match to the era. I would also love to see guys like Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Brian Pillmann - no matter of which era. Possibilities seem to be endless! Go ZST give them all before the year is over. 😆

I'd love to listen, but Phil, who hosts that show, formerly of the Chick Foley Show, is a complete chode and garbage human being. He was rightfully fired from the CFS for routinely causing a divide amongst the twitter wrestling figure community and constantly lying. After what was suppose to be an amicable split and Chick thanking him and saying nothing but nice things upon his departure, he refused to relinquish control of the private facebook group forcing Chick to start a new one. He then ripped off her name which she has been using for years, "Un-Boxamania" for his youtube videos, which is not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but was a clear attempt at trolling her and just shows his major character flaw on his part. He also went out of his way to block every single person that was part of the Chick Foley group.
