I'd love to hear more stories about this -- how are they worse? What did they do that a WM stopped selling them?
Fist fights right in the card aisle. At 1 Wal-Mart a adult snatched boxes out of a kids hands then his dad choked the guy out. Heard at a few targets and Wal-Mart's from employees that the vendors are scared cause they're being followed and confronted in parking lots
Wow -- that is insane. Thanks for sharing -- wouldn't have ever thought that happened. In terms of Target and AEW -- went to a few today in the SoCal region -- the only figure on the pegs not there since early December was a few Jar Jar Binks at one of them

Also -- I think there'd be a lot of interest in starting a thread on card and other collecting horror stories -- this has been the best Wrestling Figs thread in a while...

The hot wheels guys are very real. Seen them at most Targets and Walmart stores digging through the pegs. Luckily haven't found a crazy one yet. Mostly seem to keep to themselves as long as your not looking for hot wheels too.
I used to be big into the sports card game but got out long ago. Too much risk and very little reward. The investment window in my lifetime has gone as it was LeBron rookie year. Could have gotten his UD Exquisite for $5,000 to $10,000 that year. Now it's worth nearly $500,000. That I think is what made cards nuts. People all want the lottery find. Good luck 1 in a million. I just have some Allen Iverson stuff left now as he was my favorite player. Otherwise it's just gotten to expensive with a seemingly endless pool of buyers from China with limitless spending ability.

Yeah I forgot to mention last night while I was out I ran into three hot wheel guys in one of the Walmart’s they had two shopping carts with one of them one layer deep of hot wheels spread out as if they were taking inventory of what they were looking for as I was walking down the aisle they had to step aside for me and I said hey looks like you guys are having better luck than me tonight they chuckled as this was the first Walmart I hit that had nothing but yeah every time I run into any of the hot wheels guys there actually very chill but I never seem to se the same one twice so there’s definitely allot of them

They never specified anything I think the Walmart "exclusive" deal had more to do that being positive PR spin to "Walmart was the only store that was willing to carry them" initially. I think once Target saw the sales date from the initial waves of S1, they changed their tune. Sort of the same way that the UFC figures were a "special edition." Rather than "we screwed up, got bad feedback, and had to totally de-design these."

There should be a Walmart/Target documentary following the toy section, wrestling, hot wheels, card collectors, etc. Man would be a crazy reality show.
Premiering on A&E January 26th @ 8pm
"NOW IN STOCK"
Watch as people dig through pallets and try to avoid people entirely. LOL

Get me a big bowl of popcorn, sit back, and watch sweaty men get into fist fights over toys. Hey! If Tiger King can find an audience, I can promise you people will watch that.
