Warlords quick Rumble exit in 1989.
I hahve always been a Powers of Pain fan and when I saw Warlord get a quick exit I was so mad!!!!
Made no sense to me and made Warlord look like a complete fool so yea I took it personally

Jinder winning the US title at Mania 34 was one. You got Roode, Rusev and Orton and somehow the least talented guy in the match gets the belt. And even worse it was used just to transition to someone else like 2 weeks later.
I was always the biggest fan of RVD so whenever I felt like he was getting slighted with his push I was annoyed. Somewhere around Fall ‘04 where him and Rey were being used to put over Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree, the Bashams, and Mark Jindrak and Luther Reigns was about as low as it gets.
Christian losing the World Title in two days to Orton was another. I was a huge Christian fan as well and knew after his time in TNA he could totally carry a brand and its World Title. Seeing him basically used again as a tool to get the belt to Orton was ridiculous. That whole feud was so beneficially one sided its absurd. It’s the same way that they booked Cena vs. Nexus. Cena going over Nexus did nothing for Cena but the reverse would have solidified main eventers in Nexus. Just like Orton going over Christian did nothing for Orton, where as Christian getting some legit wins over Orton would have put him to that Edge level where they needed someone new after Edge had to retire.
EDIT: I forgot totally what this thread was about, I suppose you got label the last one was totally rational but whatevs.

Stephanie McMahon telling Paul Heyman that he can call her boss during the invasion. The potentially biggest angle ever in wrestling turned in to another McMahon v McMahon feud in a heartbeat.
The irrational part wasn’t so much me turning it off but hiding my remote control under a pillow, like that would keep me safe from it (I was in my early 20’s at the time).

mr perfect being eliminated at rr93
mr perfect getting pinned by luger at wm9
and mostly mr perfect getting pinned by bret at kotr93
and of course whiney micheals begging vince to let him keep ic title and once again perfect gettin screwed out of a big win at ss93
was really hopin prefect woulda got a big push that year and got shafted at every turn.
other than that, i can only remeber getting pissed at a few too many NWO run-ins ruing a few good matches.

More so stuff in recent years that I won't mention since it is not considered classic. Usually resulted in me turning the specific show off, complaining on here then not watching for a few weeks, months or even longer, but then always coming back. Not that I ever said I wouldn't but yeno.

I have 3 that kinda spring to mind....they are all in 2001.
Austin's heel turn @ WM17. Jesus Christ what a bad call that was. Vast majority of Fans hated it and still do.
Steph being revealed as the new owner of ECW. I was a fan of Steph's heel character during the McMahon Helmsley stuff up until now. I genuinely felt it was where the real life Steph started to bleed in and she was using her real life stroke to insert herself in storylines. She would continue to do it and it would continue to damage stories well into the 00s.
Austin turning heel & joining the Alliance. Dreadful decision that should have been Jericho. I couldnt believe that they made this f*ck up TWICE in 3 months

At a Fear & Loathing, Jimmy Havoc took a piledriver onto a 'concrete' block, then got straight back up and walked over to his next spot. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but for 30 seconds or so I knew how it felt to be Jim Cornette.

Two weeks ago when I watched Raw for the first time in a long time. The whole New Day and Miz/Morrison opening segment pissed me off so much. I just thought it was beyond dumb with them making funny noises and idiotic chants and whatnot. I turned it off right away.

I remember in high school watching the Raw episode on my spare with some friends of Shane McMahon winning the European Title off X-Pac on Raw and was legitimately mad about it. I think for me at the time I didn't think of Shane as a wrestler, he was just the bosses son, Shane McMahon and I had no clue the guy could actually wrestle. So to me at that time I thought it was so dumb that he won it.
Years later and I actually like watching Shane McMahon compete. Who would have thunk it?!

Triple H going over Randy Orton in the Main Event of Wrestlemania 25. Not only was the ending of the match itself fairly abrupt and flat as hell, but it did absolutely nothing for Triple H, and more or less diminished Randy Orton's one true opportunity of becoming the face of the Company, and getting to that Cena level. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some huge Randy Orton advocate, even though he's been great the last year or so, but this was the chance to pull the trigger on him and elevate him to that next level, and these opportunities only come around once. Once that opportunity has passed, then nobody will ever really care for it as much if it gets booked in to happen again. He won the Royal Rumble, had an incredible feud and build with Triple H, were rumours floating around that Legacy and Vince McMahon might be involved, and a potential Wrestlemania X-Seven scenario was all but a lock. Then they just went and had Triple H win. For no reason, and that was the end of that.

They mus'tve been the only ones on planet Earth to be surprised by that reaction. The match itself at WM is an absolute turkey. Where was HHHs thirst for revenge? he must've have left it in the parking lot. Their chemistry in matches has never been good anyway but this was particularly bad. The booking suggested Orton had no chance and the crowd didn't care. Stinker from start to finish. |
